14 - Smile

*Eduardo's P.O.V."

I woke up and decided to get up, i carefully stand up and tried not to wake Rei up.

I studied the treasure map. I heard shifting behind me and looked, only to see Rei waking up. I almost smiled but quickly stopped myself.

"Are we heading back now?" she asked in a daze.

"Yes." i replied flatly, she stood up and fixed her coat and then walked to me

"Where are we?"

"We're currently at west, ship's at south so we just follow south." I replied while showing her a compass. She replied with a nod

"I want to go back to Sirius soon." she said with a smile

"You need to return to Dres Van." i said coldly

"But-"

"Don't get involve with pirates anymore." I said not even looking at her. she turned silent....

I started walking and heard her follow my tracks. not too long after, I heard a peculiar sound.... then it hit me. It's an avalanche.

I hurriedly looked at Rei, she doesn't even notice it, but the snow behind her was coming at her. Fast.

I didn't even stop to think. I ran towards her as fast as I could and threw my arms around her as the snow buried us alive.

-Meanwhile at the ship of Dres Van-

*Clarisse's P.O.V.*

It's been a while since i feel this happy, This ship is just so fun, everyone is so kind and cheerful, well except a certain somebody. His Highness.

He keeps wearing that frown of his, my goal today is..... To make him smile.

I waited until it was night, when his Highness would climb up the Crow's nest. it seemed like his usual spot every night, I was in my little room, waiting and waiting until I heard footsteps outside, I peeked out the door and saw him going up the Crow's nest as usual so I followed him.

"Evening, your Highness." I smiled while leaning on the railing.

"Hello." he simply replied. that's it?

Silence filled the space around us as I thought of things to say

"May I ask, how ling are we going to keep sailing?" I asked

"My father, the king insisted I return in a year with or without her, but i cannot agree to that, I'm not going back without her." He replied, sadness filled his eyes

Ugh! i'm failing!!

I was going to say something but I spotted something, making me stop.

"Finding her maybe sooner than you think."

"How can you be so sure?" He asked while looking at me in the eye.

"Because the Sirius' Rival ship is heading towards us." I said while pointing at the familiar ship of the Rika.

How do i know what the Rika looks like? simple, I saw it before at the port..
