She felt comfort like no other. His warm hazel brown eyes looked at her with intense, reading her every wrinkles and lines like a magnifying glass. She stared at him like a statue, too terrified to speak at too afraid to move.
Jacob, annoyed for being stared at, suddenly shook his hands wide open in front of her face. Beth blinked instantly and lost her grip against the tree, and she fell, butt first.
Crash!
"Ouch!" These words escaped her lips like bullets on guns. Her legs has tiny scrapes and her arm has one, too.
Jacob instantly climbed down the tree and went towards her, frantic.
"Are you okay in there?"
"I would if you didn't startled me," Beth snapped. She was upset to this boy for being the reason of Sally's non-stop lectures.
"Well, I was here first," he reasoned out.
"I knew this place for months now," she debated, unwilling to lose.
"Trust me, I've been hanging out here for as long as I can remember."
She felt silent knowing she indeed didn't own the hideout. Her thoughts wandered off as the unknown boy started chuckling coldly.
"What?"
"It was really ironic that I said that I've been here for as long as I can remember when I didn't remember anything at all."
"What do you mean?" she asked him, curiously.
He didn't said anything to her. The cold air began brushing on their skin making Beth shiver. Deciding she won't be staying any longer, she asked him a question she should've asked before.
"Who are you? What's your name?"
He shook his head. "It doesn't matter."
"Why not?" her eyebrows raising.
He shoved his hands into his pocket and turned his back against her.
"Because I don't really know who I am."

There were waves of random thoughts floating into his mind. The future football team, his group of friends, what will his classes and teachers be like or will he bump into this girl he met at the park ever again?
He never thought that he would still remember her. It's been weeks but she still pops into his mind. He has a lot of girl friends at school, but none of them ever has a great impact on him. He shook his head and smiled boyishly as he went upstairs.
Seth knew she was special.

Extremely short chapter! Sorry for the long wait. School is getting busier and busier every time I decided to write. Anyways, I'll write longer the next time. Be patient with me! This Research subject keeps hogging up my time (and energy, too!) xoxo
