"Hey, sweetie," Sally shook Beth gently as the sunrays were slowly rising up to the window. Beth slowly opened her eyes and kicked her blankets down. "What is it, Sally?"
The woman smiled. "It's your first day of school, remember?"
Beth stared at her and reminisced last night's dinner. Her dad somehow arranged her enrollment to an all-girls school and school starts today.
She sighed and went to the bathroom. Few minutes later, she was heading to the dining table for breakfast. Yet, not so eager.
Philip drove them to school that morning and she waved her brother goodbye before entering the gate. A massive building with wide lawn stood before her and she couldn't help to resist inspect the whole area with widened eyes.
A group of girls began strolling in front of her and she caught the eye of one of them. She smiled and the girl returned it, leaving Beth with enough self-esteem to continue her way through the walls of this new school.

Seth carried his backpack through the hallway as girls turned their heads to gush before him. He gained some attention from these girls since last year. He shook his head and smiled. He wouldn't let these girls to be his ego-booster just to make himself significant. He loved the idea of attention, yet too much of it is creepy enough to send him shivers.
As he entered the homeroom, he instantly sat beside the window without hesitation. He loved staring at the view outside especially when class starts to get boring. He took his pen and paper out, sketch the trees outside as the teacher read the attendance.
His seatmate, Flare, nudge him with her elbow and jerked her head to the teacher. He suddenly realized that his name was mentioned but he got lost in his hobby that her didn't even heard his name.
"Seth, you gotta keep that," Miss Holly warned, eyes set to the class before her. She continued mentioning and scribbling names of kids joining him in class.
Best way to start the day.

Beth took her schedule from the office, followed the crowd of girls like a lost puppy searching for an owner. She stumbled on her way to the room het managed to keep herself straight just before entering it.
She wondered how many friends she'll make this year. She not good at making friends in the first place, but somehow, she never lost hope that one day she'll have the courage to introduce herself as the new girl, bold and friendly, ready to take the world on her own.
