Half-Blood Ginger (HP Fanfic)

Chap 1: Leillani

       Ten Years Later: 

          Lei has lived in Hogwarts her whole life with Dumbledore and McGonagall.  Leilani is a ginger haired, grey eyed and a Half-Blood witch. She grew up knowing her mother's name and her blood status. Never much of anything except for Hogwarts and the rest of the Wizarding World. She always wished to know her mother, from the stories Dumbledore told her while she was growing up. Hogwarts was her home and she never wanted to leave. 

She met some students through the years: the Weasley Boys, Bill, Charlie and Percy. The gingers she ever met were the Weasleys. Never met any other gingers except for them. All her friends were always much older than her and no one was ever younger than her. 

"Hello, Bill! Charlie!" She greeted them one day in Bill's sixth year when she was 8. 

"Hello, Lei!" They answered back, going to class. 

Percy nods to her as always, never very talkative, that one. Haha! 

The boys were some good friends and she never wanted them to leave. Bill with the hair growing passed his ears. Charlie with his love for dragons. Percy is always Percy. Lei first thought he was strange, so did Bill and Charlie. She liked her "older brothers" and they liked her,  their "Other Younger sister". Lei basically looked like them, though, she had grey eyes, not brown. 

"Lei knows every answer to questions I ask, bloody hell, Dumbledore taught her well." Percy says one night in his first year, walking back to Gryffindor Tower. 

"Why, thank you, Percy!" She said behind them. 

Bill and Charlie laugh at Lei's unexpected response to Percy. His face red and embarrassed from the encounter of Lei appearing out of nowhere.  

"Little sister knows how to make us laugh!" Charlie said, laughing. 

"Yes! Smart one, she is." Bill agreeing and takes Lei by the hand to Gryffindor Tower. 

She enjoyed her life at Hogwarts, until Dumbledore suggested that she go live with a family. Bloody Hell, was he joking? No, he wasn't. She cried to McGonagall, but she agreed with Dumbledore. McGonagall said it would be good for awhile to have a different environment. Lei couldn't argue with them, she wished she could stay longer. Where was she going? 

It's her birthday today and Dumbledore wasn't sending her until the day after. March 12th 1989 < (Her birthday date, not the year.). 

The family were Pureblood, the name Malfoy. Lei was scared, very scared. Dumbledore said bad things about him. Why was he sending her to a man he hated? Why, Dumbledore? Why? She cried and cried. 

"Why are you sending me away? I don't wanna go!" She screams and held by McGonagall. 

"I think it's a good thing, dear. A new environment will do some good for awhile. You'll be back soon, don't worry."  She washes the tears from LeI's face. 

"Yes, I do suppose this will help you grow, little one. Please, see this as a good thing." Dumbledore says, taking her hand. 

"Yes, Professor." She sniffed. 

The day came to leave Hogwarts, but Lei was having a fit. Dumbledore wasn't such what to do. He had to send her away for her own good. She had to go for awhile and he knew it would help her decide where she would dedicate herself forever.
