Staring at the Blade I started to twist and turn it looking at it in awe. Its a wonder how Shadowhunters made this thing work.
I look over to Jace to see him coming my way while Clary sits on the ground observing the blade she was also holding.
"Okay, let me show you how to use this thing. Now, it knows you're a shadowhunter, so it wants to respond." He comes behind me whispers in my ear.
"But you have to be firm with it. Let it knows whose boss." His hand greets mine as he adjust my hold on the blade. The Blade then begins to light up.
"There." He mutters at my heart begins to rapidly beat on my chest.
He then begins moving both my arm and the blade as I go with his movements, and the blade begins to light up even further.
"You make it a part of yourself and its a part of you. Now, the blade never dims." He brings the blade closer to both our faces and I notice that hes correct. The blade sparkles with white light illuminating.
"It's saying you belong together." I turn to face him as he says those words and we stare at each other for a few seconds before I respond.
"I bet you say that line to all the girls." I give him a small smirk in which he responds with a small smile.
"But how does it know we belong together." I whisper and I feel his body inch closer to mine as I feel his hot breath on my neck.
"Because you're part angel, Val. Like all Shadowhunters." He continues to move both our hands with the blade when all of a sudden he trust forward with me following his movements I see the Blade illuminate and a burst of power overcomes my body just for a second.
It felt wonderful.
"You understand?" Jace faces me as he asks the question and I turn towards him.
"Not even a little." I whisper as my eyes were from his eyes to his lips. He brakes the gaze and guides my hand with the blade again.
"You'll get there. Its not something your mind. Its something you know because its pulsing through your body. Its in your blood." He then lets my hand go and I start to move the blade on my own.
I then thrust forward again and feel the flush of power.
"Could I have even done this without you?" I question while staring at the blade.
"You just did." He answers.
"But it felt like you were still with me." I turn to face him.
"I am. I will be." We stare into each others eyes as I step closer.
It felt like we stared into each others eyes for hours, and every second I feel as if his eyes were enchanting my soul.
Then all of a sudden I hear Clary clear her throat.
"We... We will be there for the both of you." Jace speaks up again before walking away.
"Umm......" I walked closer to her.
