Chapter 8

Sodas pov


I have two hours to come up with what to do tonight with Ashley. I don't know what to do, I'm gonna propose. I just don't know how to do it, it has to be really special, I have to get her to say yes. I stayed on my bed for a few minutes thinking of what to do when it finally came to me.


"Hey guys, I gotta go down to the store by the Dingo, anyone else wanna come," I asked looking around at the gang while picking Sam up out of her bassinet.

"Yea me and Johnny 'ell come right Johnny," Dally said looking over at Johnny.

"Yea sure you wanna come Pony," Johnny agreed while turning to look at Pony.

"Yea," Pony answered.

We all walked out the door heading towards the old grocery store.






Ashley's pov


I'm so excited tonight I have a date with Soda! I missed him so much and now I get to spend an entire evening with him. I looked in my closet for the perfect outfit, I have my purple flirty dress or my long blue floral print strapless dress. I didn't know where we were going so I couldn't decide which dress would be better. I finally decided upon my blue floral print strapless dress and some white sandals. I took a quick shower and began blow drying my hair, it's really thick so this is gonna take a while. Once my hair was completely dry I began curling, the finished look was a little braid crowning my head and the curls pulled into a side ponytail. I applied some makeup and put on a cross necklace. I walked out into the living room and saw my parents and brother standing there, my mom and dad with tears in there eyes and my brother with his mouth wide open.

"Man Soda is a lucky guy, he gets my beautiful sister. Dang," Austin said laughing.

"Yea, I know," I said blushing at his compliment.

I had five more minutes until Soda would come and pick me up. I was so excited, I didn't know where we were going, so it was like a mystery. I was getting real anxious so I went to the bathroom for an outfit check, I made a few tweaks and only a minute had passed. Man when your really excited for something to happen time goes bye real slow. I didn't want to sit down cause I might wrinkle my dress but if I don't I'll have walked around this house at least 50 times by the time Soda came. I retreated to the couch and tried to wait out three minutes.

There was a knock on the door and I bolted up. I opened the door and saw Soda smiling from ear to ear holding my favorite flower, a lily. He looked me up and down and his jaw dropped.

"Man, Ash you....you look beautiful!"

"Thanks you look real tuff," I said grabbing the lily and smelling it with a smile. "So, where are we going?"

"I don't know you'll have to find out," he said grabbing my hand and leading me to his car.
