Ashley's pov
I awoke to a sharp pain on my face, I touched my face gingerly and winced with pain. There must be a nasty bruise there. I looked around and I was in Pony and Sodas room. Pony was sprawled out on the floor in just his tightly whities. Ughhh, Soda was laying next to me passed out on the floor still holding on to my hand. I carefully let go of his hand and walked over Pony and walked into the kitchen, Darry was in there making breakfast for everyone. The whole gang must have spent the night cause there was a bunch of sleeping bags scattered around the room with the guys passed out inside of 'em.
"Darry, uh are my cuts that bad?" I asked nervously.
"Nah, they ain't that bad. You'll just have a minor scar from the cut on your lip," Darry reassured me.
"Oh, I have a cut on my lip?" I asked surprised.
"Yea, go look in the mirror in the bathroom," Darry said pointing down the hall.
I walked into the bathroom and what I saw was shocking, a big cut marked my upper lip making me look so ugly. My cuts, they were pretty bad, not stitches worthy, but real close. The cut on my lip made me look like I got in fights, it made me look horrid. This is not the picture I wanted to paint.
"Darry this is what you call not that bad," I said pointing to my lip kinda irritated that he lied to me.
"Hey, it could've been worse," he said smiling.
"Not really, my wedding is in about a month and I got a big 'ole ugly scar on my lip."
"Come on Ash it doesn't look that bad, it makes you look tuff," Dally said smiling.
"Uhh, Dally I don't wanna look tuff on my wedding day. I would rather look beautiful than tuff."
"I think anything looks beautiful on you Ashley and that scars just another reason," Soda said smiling at me.
"Really so you're still gonna marry me even though I have this big scar on my face," I said hopeful.
"Of course you're beautiful to me no matter what," he said putting his arms around my waist and pulling me into a kiss.
"Thank you, that's real nice of you to say," I said kissing him back.
Sodas pov
It broke my heart that Ashley thought I wouldn't marry her because of her scar. I would never not marry her over something as stupid as a scar on her face. I sat down on the couch holding hands with her and Sam on my lap laughing at Ashley while she made funny faces and tickled her. They were getting along real well, I was real happy when she said she would be Sam's mom. I handed Sam over to Ashley and went in the kitchen to help out Darry.
"Hey Darr, ya need anything?"
"Yea sure, you can set the table," he said handing me silverware and plates.
"Ok, Darry can I ask ya something,"
"Yea anything you need little buddy,"
"Uhh, I'm kinda uhh nervous about the uhh wedding, what should I do?"
"Just don't be scared, you love her, she loves you. You got nothing to worry about,"
"I know but what if something goes wrong and she, you know, doesn't wanna marry me no more. Or if her parents change their mind about her not having to go to college."
"Well, if something happens you know you'll end up marrying 'er in the end. You'll always get her back, you got her back when she found out you were a father. You guys can get threw anything,"
"Yea, I guess we can, thanks man." I said hugging Darry.
"Anytime little buddy," Darry smiled and playfully punched me in the arm.
