Chapter 7:Explaination

Your POV~

"Gwen is..an Ano..what?" I asked again, getting up.

Ben actually came a week later to visit, 'for the first time'

It felt like old times for both of us, but for me...it felt well, let's just say: Awkward.

Maybe because we're not kids anymore, were teenagers, or the fact that Gwen is not here but in college.

"An Anodite," Ben explained for the fifth time, I can tell he was getting tired of explaining it.

'Thank goodness I'm not the only half human...' I sigh in relief, feeling a little better.

Apparently, Max's wife aka Ben and Gwen's grandmother; Verdona is an alien, and that made Gwen part Anodite and seemed to have 'the spark' unlike her the rest of the family and expect her other cousin I never met named Sunny.

"So neither you nor Ken have this 'Spark'?" I quickly forgot the conversation and asked about Ken, Gwen's older brother. "How is he?"

He may have been three years older than us, but I remember having a sleepover at Gwen's place when we turned eleven and meeting his big brother who was fourteen at the time, it was a huge deal having him around, he was a big brother to me even if we weren't related, since I was the only child and didn't have any other relatives around besides mom.

Now, from what Ben said, he's attending a totally different college than his sister. I wonder...will I ever see him again?

"Earth to (Y/n), anyone there?" Ben called out, bringing me back to reality.

"Y-yeah...did I missed something? Sorry..." I mumbled.

Ben was eager to know exactly what I was. So I told him about me and Max hanging out last week.

"Yeah, its a official, I really am an alien." was all I said.

Ben blinked once then blinked twice until he stood up.

"Does that mean you have lasers?" I facepalmed at his stupidity.

"You became denser over the years, didn't you?" I asked, folding my arms." Can it ,(Y/n). What kind of powers have you got anyway? lasers, Slime, Magic, or something?"

"I can control the elements", I said proudly. "That's all, pretty cool huh?"

"Oh, so you're the new avatar?" he said with sarcasm.

"I don't know whether to feel proud or insulted," I said out loud. He looked at me for a second, trying to figure something out. "Anyway, I'm sure I'll figure out how to work out my powers....eventually."

"You have no idea how to use your powers, don't you?" he asked.

"No...I just found out a small piece of my heritage, Ben. It takes time, just like it did for you with the Omnitrix when we were ten." I said, pointing at his left wrist where the watch was, it looked like it had some sort of upgrade, so I asked about it.

"Wow, you noticed. And yup, I but it stills bugs out and gives me random aliens I don't want to be" he explained, the phone started buzzing, It looked like there was trouble downtown and Rook was reporting it.

"Gotta go, Rook can't handle the job without me," He said.

"Really, he would be just fine without you" I muttered, picking up my music box, examining it.

"I heard that, (Y/n)!" he said angrily, as he turned into Stinkfly left true the window,

"See ya later?" I yelled, he nodded and flew away. "I closed the door behind me and going back to listening to my music box.
