Chapter 25:Julie Yamamoto

You got dress, two days, wearing your usual outfit.
Your mom came in to greet you, she was a bit surprised that you were awake ten in the morning.

"Looks like someone is all set, where are ya going?"

Your mother asked.

"I'm just gonna meet up with someone, we were supposed to meet at the tennis court stadium."

"Is that so? Why not at Mr.Smoothies? "
You shrugged your shoulders.

"She doesn't like smoothies-"

"SHE? !" You mother yelled, eyeing you.
You gave your mother a blank look,
"Ya...Ben's ex-girlfriend, Julie, why?"

Your mother lowered her head and pinched her nose,"I thought you just met some boy yesterday while we out."

You got up your bed, and walked towards your mother, with crossed arms.
"And why in the world do you think that? "

"Because I saw one boy in particular- you know what, never mind."

"What?" you were still confused, what was your mother trying to say?

"The boy talking to me yesterday were flirty? I thought they were just trying to be funny!"

The woman with h/c hair shook her head.
"Sometimes, you can act so clueless. .."

"And what the heck is that supposed to mean?!" you asked/yelled, as Angelina was leaving you alone.

"Oh, nothing.Oh!By the way,(y/n), are you interested in someone else, right?"

You dropped the comb you were using to comb your hair, surprise staying silences.

"Don't act surprised, sweetie. Mother knows best."

"Oh," you finally got yourself ready, you looked over at your mom, she was staring elsewhere, it looked like she had something in her mind.

"Mom, if you have anything else to say, go on, I'll be leaving in a few minutes, the tennis court is far from here."

The woman with the h/c hair came back to reality. "Oh, no. It's fine, call me when you're done.And, are you sure you don't want me to drive you?"

You shook your head, already opening the door.

"I'll be fiI'llmake sure to come early if I can see you later mom!" you made sure to close the door behind you.

Your POV

For a few minutes now, all I've been doing was watching Julie practicing with a tennis shooter on her own.

She actually a skilled tennis player for a sixteen-year-old, I wonder...is that why Ben dated her?

Julie kept her shoulder-length hair in pigtails and wore a pink hoodie jacket with orange-yellow stripes, tennis shoes with knee socks and a white mini skirt.

Once Julie was finally done, I greeted her from afar. The Asian girl stared at me from afar, weirdly.

"What are you doing?" she asked, drinking her bottle of icy cold water.

"Hmm?What do you mean?" I kept my distance from her.

"Why are you so far away? Come sit here!" she patted an empty seat on the wooden bench she was sitting, next to her.

I felt myself getting nervous, and sweating..."Uhm...are you sure about that...?You don't want a creep like me sitting next to you, I almost killed you a while back...!"

Julie smiled sweetly at me, "You didn't mean too, besides, you look like a pretty cool person to hang out with, what's your name anyway?"
