I woke up with the urge to learn more. Answer all my questions. Derek's little visit only led to more questions, once I didn't know where to find the answer. But there must be someone out there who knows. What if Jake knows? Either way, I had to find him. He borrowed my limited edition ironman action figure and never gave it back. It was dearly important to Ryder, this making it important to me.
"Jake!" I yelled through the his door
"What!" he responded angrily.
"What do you know about dimensions and forces?" I asked. I couldn't find a simpler way to ask my question.
"What for?"
"Project. At school."
"There's a wide variety of dimensions out there. Many theories on them too, however I don't think any are actually proven. And about the forces thing, you mean like, a squad or something?" he said after he opened his door to face me. He had a smile on his face and disheveled hair. His shorts were probably on backward and I was pretty sure he stumbled to the door.
"No, like a entity."
"what type of school project is this?" he asked with his eyebrow raised.
"Uh, history?"
"is that a question?"
"Tell me about the forces.". I pushed.
"I don't know, Is it about paranormal entities?"
"It's, something that won't show itself. But it tries to communicate."
"Spirit? I have no idea, I never used to get this type of homework in junior high."
"I don't know either, but I think it's establishing a connection between people."
"It's? You mean to tell me this is something that actually happening?" he said moving closer to me. His smile was gone and it made me fell horrible that I was the cause of his disappearing smile.
This is where the downside of having a brother who knows you so well comes in. He can tell when I lie, even if it was my best performance. "No."
"Since when?" he said ignoring my previous "no".
"After that Evers girl said something at your party."
"Faye Evers? What does she have to do with anything."
"I have the slightest clue. But Ryder Toms and Derek Collins are involved too."
"Collins? He's that River Stone beta wanna be, right?"
"Correct-o!"
"I think you need to see someone about this."
"That what I'm doing. Right now actually."
"Not me, I have no idea about this. This is serious Jaime. Stop smiling." he demanded. I wiped the smile off my face. I couldn't help it, it's been along time since we had a real talk. And now that it was happening, I was smiling at the fact I actually wanted to hang out with my disgusting brother.
"You always do this. How am I supposed to learn things if not from you?" I whined.
"You always said that you wanted to grow up. The answer is to go out there and do things for yourself for once." he replied angrily. I seem to make people angry after they spend more than five minutes talking to me. But now Jake was making me angry too, he had no idea what I'd gone through.
"I do a lot for myself." I replied. "but since your never around, how would you know. Your just like Brewy-" I started to say but then I immediately stopped.
