Reason #27: You never cease to amuse me

I was holding Shun against my chest when I heard a click of a door. Shun must have heard it too, along with his brother. They were both squirming causing me to scrunch my face in confusion. I looked at the clock on the bedside table and saw that it was only 4pm. Raising my brow, I felt Shun try to wiggle out of my grasp. That's when it hit me. No wonder they were like this, noisy and restless. They only got like that when Rei was near. I swear, I must have given birth to radar babies if they even sense their father from our bedroom. The thought of radar babies caused a roll of my eyes and a small smirk on my lips.

"Jin, I'm home." From behind the door, I heard Rei say. He entered and left his school bag on the floor. He walked up to me and quickly kissed my lips before looking at the kids. "Hey, boys. Were you good while daddy was away?" He placed a kiss on their foreheads before smiling at them.

I couldn't help but smile as well. It was amusing to see him talk to them as if they understand him. I got up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom. Since Rei was here, I could take a bath. I left the door slightly open, letting in tiny giggles enter the room. He hasn't been home that long and our 9 month old babies are laughing all ready. Smiling, I returned to the task at hand: showering.

"You little rascals are fast, huh. Very soon, you'll be walking then running then driving a bike to driving a car!" I laughed when I entered the room after my shower. Rei was on all fours and crawling around, with the kids tailing him. "I mean, seriously." Rei had an amused glint in his eyes and I could tell he was proud of the kids. "Jin, these boys are geniuses!" He looked up at me and I laughed hard upon seeing his expression. He was clearly amazed.

"They're just going at a normal rate, Rei. We'll know if they're geniuses when they get a little older." I said once I had calmed down. He smiled at me then continued playing with them. I looked over at the kids and saw that even they had a smile on their faces. It was a great sight of father and sons.

I stood up, with the intent of bringing Rei a sandwich, and was at the door when I heard something fall and one of my babies crying. I looked back and started my way to them. Shun was on the floor, sitting down and waiting. For what, I don't know. Then my gaze landed on Rei with Shin. He was lifting him up in the air, occasionally throwing him slightly, but it didn't stop the crying. "What happened?!" I asked when I took Shin from him. Shin immediately calmed down when I placed him on my nipple then he was sucking like crazy. I sighed in relief. If there's one thing having kids taught me, it's that they shut up when you feed them.

"We were just crawling around then Shin sat up. Shun was behind him and they collided." He explained as he reached for the behaved Shun. The little monster opened his tiny arms to shiw he wanted to he carried. Rei fulfilled his wish and brought Shun near his brother. "Shin fell and his head hit the floor. Then, you came in." He finushed while I watched Shun pat his brother's head. Shin looked up at his brother and stopped sucking. Then, he scrambled in my arms trying to sit up like his brother. Shun smiled and started talking in their secret baby language. I looked at Rei and he was doing the same thing. He looked at me and raised a brow, to which I answered with a shrug.

"Let's go down. You're hungry and the kids are getting bored here." I said as we made our way out of the room. Rei followed and very soon we were in the living room. We placed the boys in their playpen and walked to the kitchen. I started on his sandwich while Rei sat down on one of the chairs near the counter. He was looking at the doorway to where the kids were playing when I handed him his sandwich. He softly thanked me and walked over to the kids while I cleaned up. I was smiling by the time he took his first bite. He was so into watching the twins that he forgot to eat. I sat on the couch near them. I never get tired of watching my boys.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

I got up and walked to the phone near the stairs. "Hello. Jin speaking." I greeted to the receiver. I froze once I heard a voice. It couldn't be, right? I was panting softly and trembling hard. I looked over at Rei and was glad he wasn't looking this way. I turned my back to them, still visibly shaken. I breathed in to calm myself, which didn't last when I heard him again.

"Hi, Jin. I'm back!"
