- this chapter is everywhere because I wrote it at 5am since I couldn't sleep (I did at 6-7 so that's why I'm posting this at like 10am) but I hope you like it -

Vanessa's point of view

"Hi baby." I said and gave Calum a kiss on the cheek. "How was your day?" I asked him and he hummed.

"What's got you all happy?" He asked as I pushed my hair out of my eyes. "I had a good day though. I was just chilling here with Benji, watching movies and eating gummy bears."

"Did you replace the gummies?"

"I got them from the cabinet, not the fridge." He said and I nodded as I sat beside him. I crossed my legs and he set his hand on my thigh, curling his fingers around it. "How was your day?"

"Same as every day, stressing and busy." I said and he chuckled. "I have to pick the kids up soon." I said and he looked at me.

"I'll do it. I don't have a problem with it."

"No, it's fine." I said and smiled softly. "I can pick them up." I told him and he took my sunglasses off.

"Why are your eyes red?"

"May or may not have cried a bit because I got so stressed." I said honestly and he set my sunglasses on top of my head. "I kept fucking my riff up, and on top of that, there was traffic so I was late to my modeling gig for H&M."

"It's okay." He said and gave me a kiss. "Tomorrow will be better." He said softly, his thumb running along my cheek.

"I hope so." I said and leaned my head on his shoulder. "What time is it?"

"Two o'clock."

"I have to leave in five." I said and he nodded. "Is the wedding planner ever gonna come?" I asked and he told me that he's coming tomorrow. "What time?"

"Noon."

"I won't be home until one." I said and face palmed. "I have another interview at eleven, then a concert for charity. God dammit."

"Hey hey hey, it's fine." He told me and I nodded. "It's okay. Don't work yourself up. Just take it slow. I'm sure he won't mind, after all, he still has me to talk to. We have similar tastes and when he comes by again, we'll have your input on it."

"Okay." I said and took a deep breath. "Why am I so busy?" I whined and he chuckled.

"Because you're famous. I was that busy too once, remember? Might be soon again aswell." He said and I nodded.

"The only time we ever got with one another was late night and super early mornings on the bus or in a hotel room." I told him and he nodded.

"How about I pick the kids up? Just stay home and relax babygirl." He said and I shook my head.

"I'm dressed up anyways, I'll just go." I said and my phone rang. "Good god." I said and picked it up. "Hello?" I asked as Calum looked at me.

"Hey Vanessa! I was wondering if you could stop by today around five for a gig with me! I asked Miranda because a friend said you were busy but she has something already." Kendall said and I rubbed my temple.

"Say no." Calum mouthed at me and I looked away.

"If you can't that's totally fine. I'll fine someone else. Maybe Kylie. It's just I haven't seen you in ages and this line is a little more your style, leather and ripped jeans and black boots." She told me and I took a deep breath.

"You said at five?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, I'll be there." I said and Calum looked at me as if I was crazy. "Text me the address and I'll be there at five sharp." I told her and she thanked me. "You're welcome. See you soon Kenny."
