Leah's POV
The school day was going by much faster than I wanted. I kept looking at the clock, but the minutes were just rushing by. I glanced back at Dustin, who was doing the surprise exam we had in math, I looked back at my sheet and sighed, seeing I only had the first three questions done. I looked around the room once more before gaining focus back and looking back at my paper, doing the problems as fast as I could, going back and checking them when I had finished.
Once I turned in my paper I looked at the clock and realized we had almost forty minutes of class left. I was feeling better from this morning. The water and cough drops really did help thankfully, I hated being sick, because when I get sick, I'll be out of school for a week because of some cold I caught from a baby.
"Alright class turn in your papers and wait for the bell to dismiss you," the math teacher, Mr. Schott, called out to us. I felt something hit the back of my hand and land on my desk. It was a crumpled up piece of paper, I looked around the room, but no one was looking directly at me.
I opened the note carefully, trying not to rip the paper as I did so. It read:
What is there to know about you Leah Martin?
I turned my head, looking directly at Dustin. He held a small smirk on his face as he played on his phone. I put the note in my backpack, luckily the bell rang right as I zipped it up. I got up and rushed out of math and into the cafeteria. I walked to Kelly, who already got us some lunch. I pulled out three dollars from my wallet and handed it to her.
"Thanks for buying me lunch Kelly," I said cheerfully, biting into my pizza. I was so glad my throat was feeling better because if it wasn't the cheese sliding down it would have killed me.
"It's nothing, are you feeling any better though? You sound a lot better than this morning." She answered, taking a drink of her Coke. I nodded with a small sigh of relief. She smiled back gently.
During a conversation Kelly and I were having about making plans to go to the movies five people came and sat next to us. I looked down at my food, not wanting to look at whoever sat next to us, but by the look on Kelly's face it was someone we either never talked to or didn't like.
"Hey Leah, mind if my friends and I sit here?" I heard a voice whisper, almost jokingly, into my ear. Dustin. I closed my eyes gently, trying my one-hundred percent best not to punch him in the face for being so close to me.
Kelly saw this and looked at them, "We don't mind," she answered for me. I gave her my 'look', the one I gave her when I was both annoyed and mad. She just shrugged and continued eating. I stood up, slinging my backpack over my shoulder, grabbing my food wrappers and looking around the table.
"I'm going to the library," I muttered, throwing away my trash and walking to my locker, putting away the books I didn't need and grabbing the ones I did need. I looked at the cafeteria doors and saw Dustin walking my direction. I whispered a few lovely swears under my breath before rushing upstairs to the library, quickly finding a somewhat decent book and a good hiding spot.
I heard him walking in and going around the library, pretending to find a book. I suppressed a sigh and started reading the book I picked out, World War Z, I had already seen the movie, so why not read the book. Opening up to the first page I started reading, trying to flip the pages as silent as I possibly could, also glancing at Dustin to make sure he wasn't headed towards my hiding spot.
Once the five minute warning bell rang I put my book back and walked out the door, smiling to myself, "The library isn't a known place for you Dustin Hoffman? I'll need to remember this." I muttered to myself with a slight smile before walking into the school gyms girls locker room.
Dustin's POV
This day was just dragging on, I just wanted to end the day, tell Leah enough about me and get something out of her for this report and get a good grade on it and never have to talk to her again. But being the person I am I had to make her upset, you know, have a little fun with her emotions, see if I can make her yell as I did yesterday.
Just before lunch I told my friends we were changing our plans for going out on the hill to eat, instead we were going to be sitting next to Leah and her friend Kelly. They laughed and nodded, of course agreeing to the idea. So during lunch we sat next to them. I sat next to Leah, our shoulders and knees touching, but she moved over a bit so there was just enough space for our skin not to touch each other.
When Leah said she was going to the library I already knew I had annoyed her, that didn't take very long. Mission accomplished. I got up a few minutes after she left and threw away my trash, walking back to Kelly, "Hey, Kelly are you coming to Elijah's party this weekend, his parents are away, and it's supposed to be his best one yet," I explained and she nodded with a big smile spread across her face.
"Do you mind if Leah comes too?" I heard her ask in somewhat of a mumble. I sighed, thinking for a second before nodding once. I turned around, walking out of the cafeteria and into the hallway, I was tired of the noise from people talking. I saw Leah at her locker, so I started to walk towards her, but she slammed it shut and ran into the library.
I let out an annoyed sigh. I was not in the mood to play some damn hide-and-seek. I walked into the library anyways, looking around for Leah as I faked trying to find a book, glancing around to try and find her. When the warning bell rand I looked around the library and saw her bolt out of the room and into the gym across the hall. I chuckled and shook my head, walking into my last period class.
Leah's POV
Once I changed into my gym clothes I walked over to the whiteboard and read the warm up we were assigned today. The warm up was fairly easy, just five laps around the gym, a set of forty push-ups, thirty mountain-climbers, and fifty jumping-jacks.
Once gym was over and I changed back into my regular clothes I checked the time, 2:45, Mr. Flood must've let us out early to talk to the football players about football things, or so I'm assuming. I walked to my locker and put in my combo, 28-38-12, and put my books away before grabbing, but I see a note fall out of it when I pull it out. I opened it carefully, hoping it wasn't another note from Dustin:
We're going to a party this weekend. I don't care what you say you're going, you need to have some fun now and again.
~Kelly
I sighed and crumpled the note, putting it into my bag and doing my homework while I waited for Dustin. Lucky for me, waiting for him took longer than I thought, but of course my luck had to end when the bell rang and he came walking out of his class. I watched as he got his bag from his locker and looked at me, pointing to the front doors.
I got up and walked out, making sure to be a fair distance behind him so no one gets any dumb ideas.
Well, lets just hope today goes a lot faster. The sooner this paper is done the sooner I can go back to my normal life, along with not talking to Dustin ever again.

Heyo!
I got another update up! Yay me! Even though the fuck hole got deleted so I rushed to get it finished, sorry if it's confusing. My sister and I threw ideas around for this book, and I've decided it'll be a trilogy. I'll be giving hints about what'll happen in those books if you read the author notes ;), some parts of these books will be based off of my life, and experiences. Anyways, have a good night!!
