Chapter 14: Seeking Revenge

Sabrina slowly opened her eyes.

"Where am I?" she asked.

She saw that she was lying in a bed while wearing loose clothing. Lauren, Carter, Brock, and Spencer were surrounding her with looks of relief on their faces.

"You're in the hospital. You were doing a math project with Brock, Spencer, and Ally at the Coleman Dance Studio. Ally pushed you and you fell out of the window. You have been in a coma for 2 days!We were so worried about you!"

Sabrina started to remember what had happened. She looked around for Ally, and it didn't surprise her that she wasn't there. No matter what happens, Ally will never show sympathy towards Sabrina. Sabrina ignored Ally's heartlessness and decided to ask about her current position.

"What's a coma?" Sabrina asked, confused.

"It's when all of your body shuts down, but your heart remains functional. It happens after a near-death experience. Some people don't wake up from it," Carter explained.

"Then how did I have a coma? Charmanians can't die before the age of sixteen," Sabrina questioned.

Lauren and Carter sighed.

"Brock. Spencer. Would you please give us a minute?" Lauren asked.

"Yes, ma'am," Spencer replied, making his way out of the door. Brock stopped for a minute and glanced at Sabrina. He pressed his lips closer to his mouth and blinked rapidly, clearly trying to stop himself from crying. When his eyes started glistening with tears, he quickly made his way out of the door. Wow! He still cares about me! Sabrina thought to herself.

"Sabrina, this is why I told you to be careful. You should've listen to Queen Blue; the Ultrakeepers know best," Lauren said when Brock closed the door.

"What's going on?" Sabrina asked.

"Aunt Ruby's power is getting stronger. She has given you an Earthling ability: the ability to die at anytime. You have to be very careful, Sabrina. Is Brock really worth dying for?" Carter inquired.

"Is Mom worth dying for?" Sabrina snapped.

"I don't appreciate your tone, Sabrina! Your mom and I are just worried about you!" Carter shouted.

Lauren patted Carter's back to calm him down.

"Relax, Carter! You're going to raise her blood pressure," Lauren whispered.

Carter took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Sabrina. I just fear that something bad will happen to you. Do you want Brock and Spencer to come in?"

"I'd love that," Sabrina replied.

Brock and Spencer slowly walked into the hospital room.

"Hey, Sabrina!" Spencer exclaimed. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine! Thanks for asking," Sabrina answered.

"No problem! I'm glad you're okay," Spencer said as Sabrina smiled.

"I just wanted to let you know that we have the project covered. Don't worry about it," Brock acquainted.

Even though Sabrina was more than happy to see Brock, she was slightly embarrassed to talk to him. The whole reason why she's in the hospital is because she was staring at him. As if Brock read her mind, he changed the subject.

"I know you weren't staring at me," Brock began. Sabrina was relieved that he didn't believe Ally, even though what she said was true. "Ally is way too protective, especially when it comes to you. Even if a girl glances at me, she gets angry. She's gone way too far, so I decided we needed to take a break."

Yes! Sabrina cheered in her head. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that!" Sabrina lied.

"It's okay. I think it's for the best," Brock replied.

You want revenge for what I said, Aunt Ruby? Sabrina said to herself. Well, two can play at that game!
