School on Monday was extremely awkward for Sabrina. As she walked into first period, she tried not to look at Brock and get lost into his beautiful eyes, and Brock tried to feel comfortable about the that she was "dating" Spencer. No matter what they tried, they both failed. As Mr. Chapman walked into the classroom, Brock and Sabrina hoped that what he had to say was good enough to distract them from each other.

"Good morning, class!" Mr. Chapman exclaimed.

"Good morning!" the class moaned.

"Stop your moaning because flyers for the school play are being passed out!" Mr. Chapman said as he handed each student a flyer. "The play is going to be a modern take of 'Beauty and the Beast'! I assure you that you're going to love it!"

Sabrina was actually very excited about auditioning for the school play. She already appreciates
dance, and she wants to learn to appreciate other forms of art. On the flyer, it says that auditions were today at 5:30. She couldn't wait for school to end for auditions to start!

"Are you auditioning for the school play?" Spencer asked Sabrina.

"Yah! I'm auditioning for the role of Belle!" Sabrina exclaimed.

"Then I'm auditioning for the Beast."

Spencer smiled as Sabrina giggled. Brock turned around and looked at Spencer with envy written all over his face. Sabrina pretended to ignore him and playfully punched Spencer's shoulder.

"You're too cute!" she said. At those words, Brock turned around and gave Mr. Chapman his undivided attention. Sabrina felt a little bad about what she did, but she tried her best to ignore her conscience. She listened to Mr. Chapman's lecture until the bell rang.

The rest of the day was pretty much the same: Sabrina and Spencer would "flirt", Brock would give Spencer jealous looks, and Sabrina would feel guilty. When auditions arrived, Sabrina was a few minutes late, but it didn't matter, since she was one of the last people called. She put everything aside and focused on her performance.

"What part are you auditioning for?" one of the three judges asked Sabrina. She seemed to be middle-aged with brunette hair that was in a French twist. She had big, black, rectangular glasses that covered half of her face.

"Belle," Sabrina quickly answered, trying to hide the fact that she's nervous. She had the script in her sweaty hands, wrinkling the paper to relieve her stress.

"Whenever you're ready!" one of the other judges replied. She was a bit younger than the middle-aged judge and had blonde, curly hair, hazel eyes, and a stern expression on her face. She made Sabrina even more nervous than she is.

First, she had to sing one of the songs from the play. Sabrina told the stern judge that she was ready so that the adjudicator could play the karaoke version of the song she was singing. Sabrina decided to sing "Bonjour": a song that will definitely bring out her soprano voice.

After she was about 1 minute into the song, the third judge--a man with a bald head and kind, amber eyes--stopped her. She then acted out the "Library Surprise" scene.

The judges said the lines that were not hers and Sabrina reacted to them. It was a bit awkward for her, but she had a wonderful time.

"Thank you! That would be all," the middle-aged judge said.

After three more auditions, the judges gathered all of the students together.

"Thank you all for auditioning! We have chosen the lead roles. The rest of the roles will be announced on Wednesday. Princess Belle will be played by Sabrina Watson, and the Beast will be played by Brock Adams. You are all dismissed," the stern judge announced.

Sabrina panicked. She didn't even know that Brock was auditioning! What happens when it gets to the part of the play where Sabrina has to say the words she's been dying to say all along: "I love you"?
