Anxiety. Fear. Nervousness. Uneasiness.
These were the main things I was feeling as Saturday grew closer.
Today was Wednesday and I couldn't keep still.
I went to school for the sake of it and I swear I couldn't even look in the same spot for more than a second.
I had written all of the letters and put them into an envelope with each person's name on it.
It was really hard to write them.
I cried alot. Sometimes I had to start all over on a fresh piece of paper because my tears ruined the other one.
Emily was on another date with Jaime and I was happy to hear that they're officially together, even though Emily goes back to Florida in three days.
I was currently in my room, on my bed with a sketchpad on my lap.
I was drawing a wilted rose.
I sighed to myself and watched as my hand moved the pencil, bringing the rose to life.
My phone rang and I looked over to it on the desk before dropping the sketchpad onto my lap.
"Hello?", I answered, my fingers trailing along the paper.
"Jess", Mikes voice greeted.
Hearing his voice was like a shot to the heart. What I was going to do to him is horrible.
I'm horrible.
That's why I need to do this.
"What are you up to?", he asked.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and answered.
"I'm drawing. You?", I asked.
"I want to see my beautiful girlfriend", he replied, smoothly.
"Oh..Uh okay", I said, fighting the heat in my face.
"Wanna go see a movie? Or do something?", he asked.
"Sure", I said, after a moment of pondering.
"I'll pick you up in ten?", he asked.
"Okay", I nodded.
"See you in a few, babe", he said.
"You too", my stomach leaped at the nickname.
I closed the sketchbook and stood up, taking in a deep breath.
You can do this. Act normal.
"I can do this", I whispered to myself.
I wanted to spend as much time with Mike before I would be gone.
I walked downstairs and went outside, sitting on the porch as I waited for Mike.
"Don't blow this, Jess", I muttered to myself.

Mikes hand found mine as we walked together into the cinema.
We had decided on a rom-com. (A romantic comedy) because Mike thought it looked cool and I agreed.
He didn't let me pay for my ticket or snacks, saying it was a date.
We walked into the room and found seats at the very back. Mike offered me some popcorn and I shook my head.
"Jess...have you been eating?", he asked, looking at me with concern.
He didn't deserve a mess like me.
