Emily's P.O.V:

"Let me see her!", I cried as Jaime held me back from lunging at the Doctor.

"I already told you miss, she's in intensive care right now. We're doing the best we can", he spoke.

"I don't care! I need to see her!", I whimpered.

"I'll come back when I have more news", he said, walking away with his clipboard.

"Jaime...", I whispered.

He pulled me down on a chair with him and into his lap.

"It's gonna be alright", he promised.

"How do you know?", I asked.

"She's a fighter Em", he whispered.

"But what if she already gave up?".

  Three long hours.

Three hours of us waiting here, going crazy.

So many unanswered questions.

So many thoughts and doubts.

I was still sitting on Jaime's lap, he wouldn't let me go.

Mike was sitting across from us, alone and with his head in his hands.

Vic and Tony sat next to eachother on Jaime's left.

"Where is she?!", a familiar voice demanded, sounding quite broken.

"Sir, calm down. Where's who?", the receptionists voice spoke.

"Where's my daughter?!", the voice asked, panicked.

I sat up in Jaimes lap and listened in.

"Name?".

"H-her name's Jessica", the voice stuttered.

It clicked.

Her Dad.

Why would he be here?

He didn't even care about her!

I jumped out of Jaimes arms and sped towards his voice.

As soon as he saw me his eyes teared up.

"Emily...how-how is she?", he asked, his voice broken.

"Why the fuck would you care?!", I shouted, my voice shaky.

Jaime tried pulling me away but I freed myself from his grip.

"Emily I-", he began.

"You nothing! You watched as she was abused by the piece of shit she calls a mom and you let it happen! You pushed her to this!", tears violently fell down my cheeks.

"I know!", he yelled, tears falling.

"Leave!", I yelled.

"No. For once I'm gonna stay and be there for her. I can't believe I let it get this far. I'm divorcing her mother", he said, wiping his eyes.

"It's too late. You should've thought about that before it got too far. You're not even a father. Not even a man. You're just a coward", I spat.

"Em..Calm down", Jaime whispered in my ear.

"How the hell do you expect me to calm down? This piece of shit watched as his wife and daughter abused Jess and let it happen. He's just like them", I growled.

"Emily this was never my intention! You're right..I'm a coward but I never layed a finger on Jess", He spoke.

"You watched and allowed it. You could've stopped it at any time yet you didnt. You're just as bad as you're fucking wife", I seethed.

"I know! I just wa-", he was cut off by the doctor.

"We can't have you screaming. Plus, I have news", he said with a straight face.

We all turned quietly, looking at him desperately.

"I'm sorry. You may want to say your final goodbyes. She won't make it past the night. Perhaps not even the hour", he said apologetically.

My heart fell.

It didn't break.

It fell.

And it kept falling. Leaving a sinking feeling in my chest.

I couldn't breathe.

So I ran towards her room, wanting to shake her awake.

I could hear the rapid footsteps of the guy's as they followed.

"Jess!", I sobbed as I fell to my knees beside her bed.

"Please please please", I begged over and over as I sobbed.

I clutched her cold, limp hand in my own and cried.

I could hear the guys also breaking down as they took it all in.

Mike was punching the wall, sobbing and muttering to himself.

Vic was staring at Jess's lifeless body, tears streaming down his face.

Jaime was curled up on a chair with his knees to his chest as he cried.

Jess's Dad stood by his daughter, crying and kissing her hand over and over again, apologizing over and over again.

And Tony was staring deeply at Jess, with silent tears pouring down his face.

"Please don't leave us", I whispered.

"I'm so sorry. If you wake up I swear I'll treat you right. Please Jess. I need you", her dad cried.

"Jess...don't leave me..I love you", Mike sobbed, delicately touching her face.

"Wake up Jess...please", Vic cried.

"This isn't happening", Jaime sniffled to himself.

"You said you were okay...", Tony whispered shakily.

"You promised! You promised you'd never leave me! Jessica!", I cried.

Beep...beep..Beep..beepbeepbeepbeep.

We all looked at eachother in panic and went silent.

beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppp......

Her heartbeat flatlined.

She's gone.
