When we finally got to the park, we saw four figures sitting under the shade of a big tree.

"Oh my God it's them!", Emily gushed. I rolled my eyes and pulled Dragons leash back slightly before he wandered too far.

Emily walked to them, bubbling with excitement. She was holding her cat.

Why we brought a cat to the park, I don't know.

I didn't really feel up to talking to anyone right now, so when nobody was looking my way, I picked up Dragon and dashed away.

Soon enough, I reached the outskirts of the park and there were a few trees around an abandoned swing set.

The kids use the other swing set because the paint chipped off this one.

But this was fine by me.

I sat down under a tree and exhaled deeply. Dragon sat down on my lap and I pet him as I stared off into the distance.

I never knew how peaceful parks were, up until now. I should come here more often before...

I sighed and rubbed my temples. I wish it didn't have to be this way. But it is. My life is crap, I have no future and that's that.

"I BELIEVE ITS TIME FOR ME!", my phone rang, causing Dragon and I to jump.

I looked at the screen and sighed as I answered.

"Yeah?", I asked in a bored tone. I knew this was coming.

"Jess?! Where are you?", Emily screeched through the other line. I sighed again.

"I don't even know", I muttered, not wanting to say anything. I heard chuckles on the other line.

"How could you not know?", Emily asked, annoyed. I leaned more against the tree and closed my eyes.

"I don't know".

"Stop saying that", she muttered.

"Saying what?", I asked.

"I don't know".

"You don't know what?", I mused.

I heard her groan as the guys chuckled. "Just get over here", she said.

"But I'm comfortable", I whined. "I'll find her", another voice said.

"Who's that?", I asked. Emily chuckled. "Mike".

I sighed. "No that's okay, I'll be there in like ten minutes", I said.

"Too late, he's already looking for you", she said.

"Okay. See you in a sec I guess", I muttered and hung up.

I moved my hair out of my face and took in a deep breath.

"So this is where you went", an amused voice said. I groaned.

"Yeah", I said, watching him as he sat criss cross in front of me.

"Now why would you ditch me?", he asked. I rolled my eyes. "Who wouldn't?", I teased.

He rose an eyebrow. "Alot of people wouldn't wanna ditch me", he said, cockily.

"Plus I didnt ditch anyone", I said. Mike rolled his eyes at me. "I'm pretty sure you did", he said.

"Nah, more like wandered off alone", I said. His expression changed from playful to concerned.

"Why?", he asked. I shrugged. "You okay?", he asked again. Was he actually concerned?

Nah.

"I'm fine, just tired", I lied. I was actually tired though. His gaze lingered a second longer before he nodded.

"Okay, lets go then", he said. I groaned. "About that", I began. He rolled his eyes again and stood up.

"I'll catch up in a second", I said. Mike shook his head and looked down at me. "Nope. You're coming with me whether you like it or not", he said.

"What is that supposed to-", I began. Then he did something unexpected.

He pulled me up and slung me over his shoulder.

Now you may be thinking, that's not too bad.

It is when you're covered in bruises and semi-fresh cuts.

"Oh God", I whimpered. Mike took Dragons leash and began walking. "P-please put me down", I cried, feeling the cuts re-open.

Mike froze and immediately placed me in my feet. I felt as if I had gone through all of that again.

My body ached and I shook in pain while Mike stood in front of me, concerned.

"Are you okay? What happened?", he asked, studying me frantically.

I held my stomach, feeling sick all over again. I felt something warm trickle down my wrists and slide all over my hands.

Mike's eyes widened as he looked at my hands. "W-whats that?", he asked.

"I have to go", I wheezed. Maybe I should have stayed home. I grabbed Dragons leash and was about to leave.

"There you guys are", a voice said.

This can not be happening, I thought.

"Holy shit! Mike what did you do?!", Vic yelled. Mike shook his head frantically. "I didn't do anything!", he yelled back.

"Jess", Emily said and gave Jaime her cat. She came over to me and held my shoulders. I winced back in pain.

"Oh God Jess I'm sorry, I forgot", she said. I shook my head. "It's fine, I have to go", I said.

"You need to go to the hospital", Jaime said. I shook my head harder. "No. I just need to lay down and sleep. It'll go away", I said.

"Jess, I think Jaime's right. It's getting worse", she said. I gulped. My vision went blurry and my ears were ringing.

"Jess?", a voice said. It sounded like an echo.

"I-i need to go home", I whispered, holding my head in pain.

"Jess, answer me", another voice said. I felt like someone flipped a painful switch and all of the sudden, everything went black.
