The bell rings cause a smile to place across my lips. This is the official date me and Lex have been on. We've been seeing each other a lot this past couple of days. I might say I like him. But I'm trying to go slow with this relationship considering the fact how my last one ended.

I skip to the door. Unlocking the door, But my smile soon faded away. As to the person on the other side of the door was not Lex but it was baby's daddy.

"What do you want Chris?" I said firmly. Crossing my arms over my chest.

"I want you and Katie." He smiled looking down at my belly. "She has gotten so big."

I roll my eyes. "Chris you need to go I am expecting someone."

He raises and eye brown. Anger filling his eyes as his figure became tense. "And who might this friend be?"

"I don't need to explain myself to you."

"You're carrying my child. So you do need to explain yourself to me."

I scoff. "You mean the child that you denied to all your friends, family. The child that you said ruined our so called relationship."

"You know I didn't mean it."

"Actually I don't. Chris, you only want me for sex. You basically said it for yourself. When she wasn't available for your needs you came to me."

"Okay but that was bef-"

"Before what you got me pregnant."

"Hey, who's this," Lex said walking up from behind Chris.

"No one. He's not worth our time."

"I'm Chris. Katie's father." He said with a smirk. Extending his hand to Lex.

"Oh, so you're the guy that denied your child," Lex asked. Causing me to snort. As Chris slowly took back his hand.

"Listen, kid, I don't need to listen to you.I came here to talk to Amber, not her fuck buddy of the week."

"Kid? I am more of a man than you every will be. Unlike you, I don't get girls pregnant and then run off."

"So you're going to let him talk to me like that," Chris says snickering at me. "You know what you guys will be perfect together. But you best believe I'm not letting you daughter raise my daughter." He turns around walking back to his car. "Oh, and my lawyer will email you."

My chest starts to get heavy as my breathing became faster.

"Amber look at me," Lex says as my eyes were fixed on Chris's car. "Amber baby please look at me."

He grabs my hands as I slowly turn my eyes to focus on Lex."He-he's going to take my baby away."

"Don't listen to him. He's just trying to scare you."

"Okay, and what if it's true. He's a lawyer may I add with really good one."

"Okay, and you're becoming one too. Look I'm not going to let you loose her. Besides, he's criminal justice. Different courts."

I breathe loudly. Thinking of what Chris said. Like it was a song on repeat.I mean he does have the money to take care of a baby but what's money going to do when you're living with someone that wishes that you didn't even exist.

You're not going anywhere. Mommy will make sure of it. She'll do everything she can to keep you happy and safe.

I didn't want to do it. But I had too. I wasn't there for my sons and I want to be there for Katie. She like my do-over child you can say.

I just feel like such an asshole. But it's not my fault. I was tought to be a jackass. To not let other's get close to you, not even your family.Because if you get the wrong person in then shit hits the fan. But when you push the one's you love away it makes it worse.

But I want to change I need to change. I need to fix everything I messed up these past months, hell year.

I need to repair a relationship with my wife. But most importantly I need to fix my relationship with Amber.

Amber is the most important person to me. It might not seem like it but I love her and I need her in my life.

I never loved Sky. Yes, I love her but not like I do to Amber. Sky and I are only together for business reasons she just doesn't know I'm 'using' her.

But Amber, she special to me. She's someone I always wanted, but I fucked it up.

Well, I didn't fuck it up Katie did but that's okay. She came earlier than expected.
