Chapter 5
Knocking on stranger's door
Humming to the song the girl next to her was listening to Melodine waited for the silver eyed stranger to appear. She was feeling uneasy. She didn't understand why but it felt like danger was looming over her. Deep inside her she felt some kind of pull that made her stomach twist and turn. She felt like there was a magnetic force pulling her somewhere but she didn't know where. Suddenly, she felt goose bumps all over her body. It was like she was being pricked by a thousand needles. She rubbed her arms and surveyed her surroundings. Nothing looked out of the ordinary; people were going about their business like any normal day in an airport. There were men and woman going to business trips, parent shouting at their children to stop crying and the typical baby's crying. Nothing that shouldn't be there was there.
Melodine wasn't happy with this discovery. There was without a doubt something there and for once in her life she wanted the voice to distract her. But, like everything in her life, she didn't get her wish. She started tapping her foot on the floor to the sound of the music next to her to create a distraction. Then she realised what she was tapping to. The girl next to her had her iPod's volume so loud she could hear every word. Horrified with her revelation she looked at the girl. The girl was of teenage age with long blonde hair. She was nodding her head to the rhythm. But she was off rhythm. She was wearing Jean shorts and a tank top. How typical of her to listen to One Direction. This was a good enough distraction.
Someone tapped on Melodine's shoulder and she jumped in surprise. Appearing in front of her was the very person she was waiting for. The very same person who had created this anxiety in her. Although, she has only met this guy once she realised that he is not one to conform to society. However, it seems like he does enjoy surprising people. And, to say Melodine was shocked would be an understatement.
He was wearing black jeans and a plain black t-shirt. Doubt filled Melodine's head. Was he really a wizard? Did magic really exist? Is he supposed to be a magical person? Question after question hit her making her feel like she had made the worst decision on earth. The most shocking and disturbing part was that he died his blue hair to black. Black! That's what average people do. Melodine liked his blue hair more. That way she could distinguish him from the people on the street and will feel better knowing that this person actually belonged in a different universe. Despite the change in his hair, his eyes looked the same but in Melodine's opinion it looked creepier with the black thought. It looked like silver cat eyes but his glowed all the time, rather than at night.
Her thoughts were proven correct when Melodine glanced at the girl next to her and saw that she was staring at Jason with her mouth wide opened in shock. She looked like a goldfish, however when Melodine stared at her eyes she realised that the kid was scared. Overall, he looked...normal. Yes, the word was normal. He looked normal if you exclude the eyes. Nevertheless, he looked good in a mysterious, creepy way.
"Hi!" she said meekly. She was intimidated by his new look. Melodine tried to avoid his eyes just like she avoids herself in any reflective object. She did not even receive a reply. The greeting she got was a nod of his head. Next thing she knew he turned around and walked away from her. What a weirdo! She exclaimed in her head. She got up and followed him whilst glaring at his back. Although, she did not know how it was possible, unless he had eyes behind her back, he seemed to have noticed the glare. He turned around, swished his hands about and made her stop in her track. He literally made her freeze. She couldn't move; not one finger could be moved except her eyed. At that moment she looked like a crazy person standing in the middle of an airport while people walked around her giving her shoves or rude looks.
