Chapter 6: Unwanted Shoulder Grab

Third Person's POV

The guild was loud and rowdy as usual. What they all didn't know was that things were drastically going to change (and not just because of the new members). Dark forces would soon be upon the small children before they knew it. 

Nyx and Luna made their way down the stairs with Lucy, hand in hand. Lucy noticed that Nyx seemed a little nervous because of his sweaty hands. Luna on the other hand was shaking like no other. She was scared to death, yet she was still trying to face her fears. 

"Guys, just take a deep breath and imagine that you are just visiting old friends. Okay?" Lucy tried to reassure the two which just seemed to make things worse. 'This is not going how I would have like it to' she thought as sweat went down her brow. Truth was that she was way more nervous than she seemed. Meeting everyone again after nearly 10 years was terrifying for her. 

'Come on Luce, you can do this. Just say it how you used to. Don't make it a big deal. Just.. be ... ... normal.' She swallowed hard knowing that her thoughts might not be the most helpful for her right now. 

Lucy, Nyx, and Luna made their way to an empty table in the corner to wait for Master to make his announcement. Lucy pointed out where they would sit to Luna and Nyx so she could go get themselves drinks. 

"Hey Mira, can I get a strawberry smoothie, some fries, and two cups of water, please?"

"Lucy? Since when did you get here?" Mira wondered for a second. "Oh well, your order will be up in just a few minutes." She said with a bright smile on her face.  As a reply Lucy smiled back. 

Lucy sat on her usual bar stool waiting for her order and she started to become even more panicked than she used to be. 

"Happy you know that isn't true. I caught waaaay more fish that you did."

"Natsu stop lying, I won fair and square. Don't take all of the credit for something you didn't do."

Lucy knew those voices like no other and they were slowly approaching her. 'This could not be happening,'  she thought to herself. This was bad. If he came any closer he would know her scent instantly. 

"Don't notice me. Please don't notice," Lucy whispered to herself. She could feel so much sweat on herself and felt as if her heart was beating out of her chest. 

"Hey Mira, would you mind telling Happy that I'm right and he's totally wrong." 

'OH MY GOD!!! HE'S STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO me!!!' Lucy tried to use her hair as a shield to hid her face. If she wasn't nervous before she sure was now. 

"What are you two fighting about now?" Mira seemed to notice Lucy's nervousness and carefully gave Lucy the drinks so no one would notice. Lucy started to slowly walk toward Luna and Nyx trying to be undetected. 

"Natsu took all of my fish and called them his own. Mira tell him he's wrong!" Happy whined.

"Natsu, why can't you and Happy share eachothers fish. I don't see why this is such a big problem," Mira said trying to keep them distracted. 

"Because if I-" Natsu suddenly cut himself off. He started sniffing the air and walking towards the back of the room where Nyx and Luna were located. "Hey Mira, who are those kids over there. I don't think I've seen them before but they seem really familiar to me for some reason," Natsu said pointing at the kids at the table. 

"Oh Nyx and Luna? They just joined the guild. No need to worry too much," Mira said with a smile.

"That's not the thing that's worrying me. Why do they smell so similar to Lucy?" 

Lucy set the drinks in front of Nyx and Luna who seemed very grateful for them. Lucy could still feel Natsu's eyes on her and the kids. She hoped to Mavis that he wouldn't notice until Gramps said something. Oh she hoped, she hoped.

"Hey Natsu," Happy started to question, "that lady sitting with them seems a lot like Lucy doesn't she?" 

'NO HAPPY! YOU'RE GOING TO RUIN EVERYTHING!' Lucy was internally screaming.

"Hey you're kinda right. Let me make sure I'm not going crazy." Natsu started to approach the table at an alarming rate. 'No....' Lucy was in agony.

Natsu turned to face Lucy. "Hey are you by any chance-"

"Mommy! Nyx is being mean again!" Luna started crying at the perfect moment. 'Yes Luna! Way to go! He didn't get a chance to see my face.' Lucy was screaming with joy. 

"Nyx, what did I say about being messy. Don't throw food at your sister." Lucy tried to sound different from her normal self. 

"Mom, it's not like I chucked it at her. I was just trying to have some fun..." Nyx stated as he shrunk in his seat. 

"Hey! You're that kid that I saw at the river right? So that means that--" Natsu grabbed Lucy's shoulders and turned her to face him. "--Lucy?"

"Hey Natsu *hehe*..." Lucy said with an unsure tone.

Hello everyone!!!! It's been so long since I updated I know. I have had some stuff popping up and phew it takes so much time. Now that I'm a freshman in highschool I have even less time then I did in middle school. I hoped you liked this chapter and PLEASE review. It gives me some motivation to update so think about it!
