 Eve Vision

---

It was dark where he left me. Dark, cold and lonely. The man that snagged me off that bush had walked for awhile afterward. And now, I didn't have the slightest clue where I was.

A feint light shown down on me and illuminated the area I was in. It was still really drab where I was, but from what I could make out I was rested on a flat, brown surface suspended in the air by something. Was this a table? Back when I was perched on the branch I had the blessing of being able to observe humans as they hustled by. Because of that I began to pick up and learn the human tongue. A table was something humans normally had in their houses to place things on. In my opinion, it didn't seem awfully useful.

But getting back onto topic. That man that brought me here, did he have no idea that I would die upon getting separated from my branch? Without my full stem, I had no way to get water. And without water, I had no way to make food. Without food, well, I don't want to talk about it any further.

I twitched my stem. It now felt crumpled and sweaty. Was this my end?

Before my eyes, something miraculous happened.

There was a bright light all of a sudden. I felt my thin, frail body being lifted up, higher and higher before I thought I'd hit the ceiling. Something that humans put about their houses to block out the wind, rain and hail. But before the collision I fell, falling faster and faster before I hit the table again. What was all that about? Did a draft blow me away? No, that wouldn’t explain the white light.

I wiggled my stem again, but it wasn't there. Instead, I had a pair of legs. What?! I nearly jumped, but I had no idea how to. Where did my twig of a stem go?! franticly I started feeling around the table. Wait, feeling?! I had hands now as well?!

W-What was I?

I squirmed around until I found the edge of the table, and fell off of it with a loud 'slap' hitting the ground knees first. I had legs now, arms as well. Did I have a face?

My newly discovered hands felt there way off my once leafy body until I found a neck. I followed it upwards till my fingertips rested upon a nose, then a pair of ears, and then my eyes.

I was a human.

“H-How?!” I gasped and slapped my hands over my mouth. I-I could talk now. A surge of pure joy flooded my system. You have no idea how hard it is to sit by, day after day. Watching the humans go by and never being able to join their unique and advanced society. After all, up until now, I was a leaf. A simple part of the herbivore food chain.

“Eee~!” I squealed and wiggled about, flailing each limb against the marble floor. T-There was no end the the possible things I could do now. I-I could walk, run, jog...I could dress up in all those pretty suits and dresses that I see humans walk by in. I could even sing now! I-I could do so much!

I scrambled up to my knees and shuffled around a little. First things first I needed to figure out how to use my body. Speaking of body...What just happened.

I looked up at the table. The spot where I once laid was now empty, as if I was never there in the first place. Maybe this was something common for humans to experience? No...What happened to me wasn’t normal in any language.

I whipped my head around, somewhere in the darkness came a low snoring sound. W-Was that man that brought me here near by? Something else came over me, replacing the joy with curiosity. I wonder what he would think when he found out that leaf he brought how was now a...

My hands wandered up to my chest. Leaves and other plants were normally transgender. But I wasn't a leaf now, I was a human being. My fingers grazed over my chest, stopping when they reached small, out dents. I had breasts! Must be female.

So I wonder what that man will think when he finds out the little spade shaped leaf he brought home turned into a living, breathing, female, human being. Well...I was female, right? I'm pretty sure that having a chest like this meant that I was female. But who am I to judge, I was just a leaf.

Not wanting to wait a second longer, I gripped the floor in front of me and started crawling towards the sound of the quiet snoring. I didn't trust my legs yet to carry me. So crawling was the answer. Slowly, I inched my way there.
