Chapter 7

Eve Vision

I actually didn’t sleep all that well. The thumps and moaning didn’t stop till around two in the morning. I kept track of time thanks to Niall's little time teller thing he kept close to the bed. Besides, it was the only thing I could use to entertain myself in these quiet and restless hours.

“Yawn...Morning, Eve?” I peaked out from my pillow fortress that I had made to block lout the loud thumping. He was obviously confused but quickly straitened his posture, “Thumping too loud?”

“What was it?!” I answered his question with another question, “W-Was that Lauren? Is she okay?”

“Er-...” Niall smirked, “Why don’t you ask he later? I'm sure shes fine”

He didn’t seem nearly as phased about it as I was. Was it normal? He seemed well rested in spite of all that ruckus.

“O-Okay...” I broke the wall of pillows and slid myself onto the floor. The fluffy carpet tickled my toes. That made me smile, the simple joys in this strange 'new' world that really made me glad that I'm human. But there are a few things that made me wish I never morphed. Prime example, yesterdays breakfast. The thought of having ate a leaf still made my stomach contract. Was that the feeling of 'vomiting'?

I got snapped back to reality by the sound of a drawer opening. Niall was at the dresser pulling out a miss-matched outfit.

“What you doing?” I called, wearily waddling over to him. My legs felt stiff from having hid in my fort all night.

“Trying to find you something to wear...-” Niall held up a bright white shirt with red sleeves, “I don’t have many female things, as you could imagine”

“Why does it matter?” I asked, Niall tossed the shirt onto the bed, “They do the same thing right?”

“Yeah, but...It just wouldn’t look right” Niall didn’t look up from his hunting, so I curiously picked up the shirt he had threw. It was too large for me but when I weigh out the pros and cons it would do me better then the shirt I already had on. After our late night gaming session it had gotten all dirty and grubby, and all around a displeasure to wear.

My hands felt the bottom of my shirt and I pulled it up and over, leaving it in a crippled heap next to the pillows and picked up the new one. As soon as it was in my hands Niall yelped.

“Eve!”

“W-What?” Did I do something wrong? I turned to face Niall but he was looking away, back facing me and a pair of jeans clutched close to his chest. If he held it any tighter I fear they may unravel.

“T-Tell me before you get nude!”

Nude? Was that what humans called it when you didn't have any clothes on? I thought that people liked other to be nude? Back on the street it always baffled me how everyone was wearing clothes. Couldn’t they all agree that nude was better? Maybe its just another thing meant for couples.

“S-Sorry” With that conclusion I blushed. Back when I first met Niall in my new body, I was fully nude. It must have bean so uncomfortable and awkward for him.

I quickly put on the new shit, this time only getting my arm stuck once.

“N-No problem-” He lifted his hands and chucked the jeans and a pair of...What were these called again? Boxers I think, “J-Just put these on...The smaller pair first, then the larger. You do know how to put pants on, right?”

I nodded but I don't think he saw. He was still looking away from my half nude body. After a couple of moments, I was fully dressed.

“You can look now” I mumbled fixating my slightly twisted shirt. Niall hesitantly turned back around to me, face red and slightly blotchy.
