Chapter 4 Niall Vision
“We didn't bring any girl”
He...They didn't? No, this was just part of their dammed prank! I took one look at Eve, she was poking obliviously at the bubbling pancake batter. Flinching as the heat bronzed her skin.
“I-I'm sure as hell that I didn't bring any girls home last night! A-And she says that shes a leaf, explain that, Harry!”
“Niall” Harry gave me a very concerned look and the rest of the boys exchanged confused glances, “I think you need more sleep...”
Before I could protest, Zayn had grabbed me from behind. They must have known I would have struggled, and struggled I did. Liam joined in, followed shortly by Louis. And together they dragged me back upstairs.
Eve was watching innocently from the kitchen, eyes wide and confused.
“Get some sleep, Ni” Harry closed the door behind me and locked it with a 'chink' leaving me alone for the first time today.
Eve Vision
That was...Quite a show. I kinda felt bad for Niall. While he was being assaulted, I was intrigued with the pancakes.
“Sorry 'bout that” A gruff voice echoed down the stairs, followed shortly by its owner. A tall boy with shaggy brown hair and blue eyes, “I can't imagine what he put you thought this morning”
I gaped my mouth open and shut it again. What could I say? I'm near positive that I put him though a whole lot more then vice versa.
“Anyway, what's your name again?” He plopped down beside me on the couch. I'm not sure when I sat down in this whole ordeal. But now I was kenneled down on the bright blue pillows with my legs tucked neatly beneath me. Just like I've seen cats do many times before.
It seems that I've gotten used to my new form. And I'll be honest, it feels amazing to be able to move more then a couple mileometers at a time. Actually, no. It feels more then amazing, it feels better then I can find words to describe.
“Eve” I snapped out of my train of thought and faced the blue eyes man, “What's your name?”
“Louis, Louis Tomlinson” Louis reached out and took my hand forcefully, kissing it like a real prince would do. It made me blush, “Nice to meet you, 'leaf' girl”
“I really am a-” My confession was cut short.
“Don't know what he had last night, but whatever it was, it's still working!” The Harry fellow, as Niall had labeled earlier, came down the stairs. Rubbing his temples and taking two steps at a time.
I almost wanted to protest. Niall wasn't on anything...was he? I'm not an expert on drugs or anything of the sort, but he didn't seem to be too...'crazy'.
The rest of the boys flooded in behind Harry as if he was their leader. Each one eying me up more then the last. I got slightly nervous, what if I said something wrong? I wasn’t exactly what somebody would consider a natural at human conversations.
“And what's your name, sweetie?” Harry flopped over the front of the couch, sliding in between me and Louis. The poor prince looked a tad annoyed at Harry's intrusion.
“Her name's Eve” Louis butted in, pushing Harry aside.
“Oh, nice name!” Harry grinned, “Would sound better being-”
“Don't!...Finish that sentence, bro” A tall, dark skinned man slapped a hand over Harry's mouth before he could cough out the rest of his words. My name would sound better...How? Oh well, guess it wasn’t that important.
“You're dating somebody, Harry! Don't go saying things like that!” Another man walked up behind Harry. They looked rather similar, and if it weren’t for some minor differences I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from the two.
“Sorry! You know I just can't contain myself around cute girls” Harry huffed, I Was pretty? “..Sorry, Liam”
“Don't worry” The newly named Liam chuckled, “It wouldn't be the first time anyway. I bet poor Lauren is used to it by now”
As the boys shared a few chuckles and joked around, I sat there, feeling only slightly rejected and left out. It was as if they had completely forgotten that I was there in the first place. But seeing my window of opportunity to go reunite with Niall, I slowly slipped away from the happy group of men and tip-toed my way back up the stairs.
It appears as if my balance had improved somewhat. And I didn't even wobble this time around.
By now, the route leading me to and from Niall's room and the kitchen had become pretty familiar, and I had no problem finding him. Well, he door anyway. It was shut tightly and when I tried to turn the knob it stuck half way.
“Niall?” I cooed, there was no response so I called again. Twisting the knob in desperation all the while, “Niall..?”
“What do you want?” He finally responded. After another twist, the knob finally responded and I slowly opened the door.
Niall was standing in front of me. Now dressed up in a light green polo shirt and white pants. I lept forward to hug him. From what I gathered from my previous home, this was a suitable greeting.
“Sorry, Niall” I nuzzled up into his chest. Niall only stiffened in my embrace, was I doing something wrong? From what I saw before, this was the part where he hugged me back.
I still felt kinda bad about what I made Niall do, now that I really think back, a story about a leaf suddenly turning human and sneaking into your bed while you're fast asleep did seem kinda unbelievable. And if anyone was to blame for his outburst earlier, it would be me.
“...It's okay” Niall finally responded “Are you really...You know..A leaf?”
“Y-Yeah” I still couldn’t help my stutter, was he going to shun me again? He let out a long, drawn out breath. It sounded dramaticly depressed
“Well, call me crazy, but I guess I believe you now”
