Okay, first!

~10 stories per category~

The only exceptions are Love is in the Air and it's Poisonous & Love is in the Air and it's Sweet categories, with a maximum of 15 entries. We know how popular romance is.

The categories are as follow:

- Love is in the Air and it's Poisonous - TAG #INALOVEP : For those romance stories where there is no happy every after.

- Love is in the Air and it's Sweet - TAG #INALOVES: For those romance stories that makes us go kya~

- Simple is best (one-shots, short stories, funny shorts) - TAG #INASHOT: For stories up to 5000 words. Because simple is best, right?

(We take oneshots as a SOLE entry, not an entire one-shot collection. You can also enter individually published oneshots here as well as enter individually published oneshots in other categories, however oneshots published in one-shot collections MAY NOT be entered in any other category.)

- Hasta la Vista Baby (action, adventure) - TAG #INAVISTA: For those stories where there is more than playing soccer.

- Elemental My Dear Watson (mystery) - TAG #INAMYSTA: For those stories where it's do or die.

- Chi Chi Chi~ (gore, horror) - TAG #INACHI: For bloody stories that make us cringe and churn.

- I'm Not A Mary Sue - TAG #INASUE: If your female OC kicks some butt and isn't the damsel in distress or OP goddess.

- I'm Not A Gary Stue - TAG #INASTU: If your male OC isn't Prince Charming, Chuck Norris, or the typical bad boy.

(For these above two categories your OC must have a relevant role and you must make clear of who the OC is to be judged in your entry.)

- Don't Judge a Character by Their Canon - TAG #INACA: For OOC centered stories.

- Nosebleed (boyxboy) - TAG #INABL: All yaoi. Yes, any genre is fine.

(The admins of TheLightningAwards apologizes for the lack of an individual category for yuri. However, if there are enough writers who wish for it we can only obey.)

We'll be posting all entries in separate chapters per category, accepted stories will be found there.

We thought we shouldn't let the readers out so we'll have a poll the week before the winners are out! We'll post a chapter with a list of all the entries and you will vote with a comment.

¤ LONGEST DEDICATION: Here because we want to reward you for sticking to it, and remind you to keep up the good work.

This is discussed among all the judges but the Chief has the final say. Hopefully we'll get a sticker the winner of this category. If you had doubts, this is serious stuff.
