[4] - Holy Yoda Balls
C h a r l o t t e
"Char, you have to come to this party with me!" Meredith begged over the phone.
She had been begging me for almost a half hour, and I still haven't budged.
"You know I'm not big on parties." I sighed.
"I know you aren't, but we'll all be there. I'll stay with you, I promise." She begged again.
"I don't know." I said unsurely.
"Please," she drew out.
"Alright fine, I'll go." I finally gave in to make the girl happy.
"Yes! I love you Char! I'll see you in an hour!" She said and hung up the phone.
"Yeah, love you too." I mumbled and sighed, looking around my tidy room.
Might as well start getting ready.
I rummaged around in my closet looking for an appropriate outfit. I found a black shirt and paired it with a pink cropped tank.
After doing my hair and makeup, I began looking for my lace up booties.
I found them and slid them on after I put my socks on.
I suck at tying shoes.
I pulled my phone out and checked the weather. I needed to know if I spas going to need a jacket or not.
40 degrees Fahrenheit on Friday
Well, it looks like I need a jacket. A small patch of pink fabric caught my eye. I rushed over and pulled it out of my closet, revealing my baby pink cardigan.
This'll do the trick.
I shrugged it on, grabbing my phone and house keys, exiting my home.
Let's hope I don't get drunk.
-
The party was in full swing when I arrived. Drunk teenagers stumbled around, throwing up and what not.
Red solo cups littered the front yard.
Couples and random people making out with each other.
Why did I come to this?
I walked around, aimlessly dancing to the music. I recognized the song as All Time Low's 'Weightless'. No, I don't listen to them, but I've heard it in the shopping centre and other places like that.
The song changed, and I looked around for a wall clock. There was a large black and white clock on the front wall.
11:36
Not even midnight.
I hung out with Meredith, Jonah, Paul, and Mia for a while plus Paul's new girlfriend, Kaya. They ditched me to play beer pong, which I declined their offer.
Since then I was wandering arums, not really doing anything. I didn't realise I was upstairs, until I looked over the railing next to me. I felt a light tap on my left shoulder.
"Heyyy, Charlotte. You might, um, wanna come check this out." A slightly drunk Meredith told me.
I giggled at her, but her face showed no entertainment. Following her downstairs, two masculine voices were heard.
"Don't say things like that about her!" A familiar Irish voice yelled.
"Why the fuck not? She's just a fucking good two-shoes version of Virgin Mary!" Another voice shouted.
I stepped off the last step, clutching the hem of my cardigan in my small palm.
The sight in front of me was horrific to say the least.
Niall and Aaron were standing there, ready to pounce on each other.
"I know she's a goody two-shoes, but don't use it against her!" Niall snapped, his hat about to fall off of his head.
"She's just a whore! And I'm gonna take her useless v-card just like I've done to most girls at this school!" Aaron snapped back cockily.
"No you won't! She deserves someone special!"
"Oh I will, I'll make her moan louder than you ever-" He was cut off by Niall jumping on him and punching him.
"Holy Yoda Balls," I whispered to myself.
I debated on whether or not I should fight them. It gave me a headache so I cautiously eased over to the fighting pair. People stared at me as if I just walked into a lions den.
"Niall," I murmured. He kept fighting with Aaron.
"Niall," I said a little louder. Still no reply.
"Niall!" I shouted. Niall stopped punching Aaron long enough to pay attention to me.
"Why the hell are you here? Go home, you'll get hurt." His voice softened.
"Y-you broke the d-deal. And I don't w-want to go home." At least I wasn't talking Yoda Talk, but stuttering wasn't much better.
Aaron took this moment to punch Niall straight in the jaw. He fell back from the impact, hitting his head on the ground. Aaron stood up, continuously beating him.
"S-stop!" I tried screaming, but my voice came out small.
"Aaron p-please stop," I said.
Aaron stopped, and I only then realised that Niall was unconscious.
"Whatever. I'm not gonna get arrested by this prick," Aaron stood up and went to the kitchen. If anyone would be getting arrested it'd Aaron first.
I had almost forgotten about the crowd of drunken teenagers, and the tears falling down my cheeks.
Rushing over to Niall, I fell to my knees. I grabbed his hand, holding it in my own. I had no idea what I was doing, but it felt good. It felt like I was supposed to be holding his hand.
I looked over at his bruised and battered face. Why would they fight over me? It was stupid anyhow.
Niall shouldn't have hit Aaron or he wouldn't be the one unconscious at the moment.
I had almost forgotten the crowd looking down at me again. I saw a few people moving apart for some boys to pass through.
