Chapter: 4

Amy Pov

"............Amy........" Sonic said with a face full of suprise. Well dam I was hoping that he just forgot me by now.
I just stare at him and the room quickly became a state of awkward silence.

" Hey...........I haven't seen you in a while..." I say awkwardly. Great I sound like an idiot, but really what can I say to someone I haven't seen in over 7 years. I have to admit he looks adorable tilting his head like that. Funny that spark that I felt when I was younger is............gone.

"Amy I'm so sorry...." He said in a sad tone "I didn't mean what I said all those years ago. Please forgive me I was an ass for yelling at you for being kind to me. I really didn't deserve any kindness from you and we can be just like we used to." He said in a low tone. Wow I have to say he has changed from how he used to, but I'm not going cave in from him just saying sorry. Like him I also changed and I think for the better. I'm no longer the naive and love crazed girl I used to be.

"Sonic....." I say realizing how good it felt to say his name " we can't be like we used to and I can't forgive you just by you saying sorry. If you really are sorry then you have to prove it to me." I explain to him not realizing the pain he felt by my words.

"So I have to prove that I mean it, that I'm sorry?" He questioned.

"Yeah I can't really trust you since it's been years since I have." I say thinking of all of my past memories. Dang how I miss those days where they were less complicated. I silently start looking around noticing Tails tied and still unconscious. Dam he got older I smile thinking of the times me and him hung out together.

"I think I know what you mean...." He said nervously while seeming to be thinking hard about something " I don't know if it can work out, but if you want to I can try." He said while staring into my eyes. Why is he looking at me like that? Ok I guess he got weirder since the last time I talked with him.

"What do you mea-" I say before being cutt off by Sonic's lips pressed against mine. WHAT THE F**K!?!?!? Who the hell does he think he is just randomly kissing me. I quickly push him off me.

"SONIC WTF?!?!" I shout to him while deeply blushing. Why the hell I'm I blushing.

" Oh I tho-thought you meant in order for you to forgive me we had to be a..............couple?" He said blushing in embarrassment and avoiding eye contact. Wow I'm an idiot I should have explained what I meant by that. Shit think, I can't have him thinking of me like that. I can't have that well hurry think Amy think.

"No no no I meant by talking and treating each other as FRIENDS and I have a boyfriend." I said regretting what I just said since it was a complete lie of me having a boyfriend.

" Oh............you have a boyfriend well who is it? He said looking even more embarrassed and some other emotion I couldn't pick up on.

Well nice Amy you're so smart for saying you have a boyfriend...................F**K. Dam well I have say something now, but who.........................................Shadow!

"Funny thing is that you actually know the person." I say while scratching my head. Shit shit shit shit I'm screwed he is going to know it's a complete lie.........just calm down Amy you're going to be ok.............who I'm I kidding I'm Amy for Pete's sake.

" Really, who is it?" Sonic asked interested and started to play with his fingers. Is that sadness I hear. F**KING SONIC!!!! How come he didn't like me before?!!?! You know what. This is what he gets for being an asshole. Wait should I really do this.......well. I suddenly thought of the angel and devil versions of myself on my shoulders telling me what I should do.

"No Amy you should just let it go and just slowly build up your relationship with him. You know that you still find him attractive." The angel started to say in my ear . Yeah maybe I shouldn't do this he has changed, but......

" Are you kidding me, this blue bit- I mean......hedgehog will think that you were just waiting for him AND you're just going to break the promise you made to yourself. Angel are you saying that Amy should just be breaking her promises and don't you remember all those tears she spilled even before the day sonic snapped. She also had to runaway and experience all those hardships because of this hedgehog. He deserves what's coming to him and it's not like you have a boyfriend anyways. It will just be a small vengeance compared to the damage he caused. Don't be like the old Amy."
The devil explained his opinion and it sounded really good.

"Wow..........I agree with him, do it and if you want to........you can get back with him afterwards." The angel whispered in my ear. Yeah, I'm right........wow just realized how crazy I am.......well anyways I'm going to do this.

"It's Shadow actually, me and him both went to the same military academy for training for becoming an official bodyguard." I said to him and I can see that he was shocked. I'm actually happy that I decided to go through with it, but......I do feel bad that I'm making him sad. I guess I can't hide the feelings I have for him.

" Oh that's..............cool." he said with a hint of jealously. He's changed, but he still doesn't like Shadow. The same rivalry just like the old days lol.

" Yeah I came just to introduce myself, but I have to go. I need to check into the hotel I'm going to stay at." I tell him in a serious tone.

"Oh, wait didn't you read the email I sent to your boss?" He questioned me.

"Why what did it say?" I asked genuinely confused.

" I put on the email that the bodyguard is required to stay with me at all times, so that means you have to stay here at this house. Didn't your boss tell you this, I specifically made that the most important thing on the email." He told me which caused me to grow angry. WTF COMMANDER!?!!? He is so going to get a beat down when I get back.

"Ummm no I guess my BOSS forgot to mention that." I say trying my best to not shout or get angry. I'm going to kill you commander. "Alright so what are we going to do with these guys anyway." I ask pointing at the 3 guys knocked out on the floor.

"Don't worry the cops are used to this already, I'll call them in a bit to take them away." He said as if this was a normal thing.

"Wait this is normal for you?!?" I say with shock. Wow no wonder he got a bodyguard. I just thought he wanted one for emergencies, but i woild have never guessed he needed one on a daily basis.

"Yeah this happens quite a bit, ever since I became rich." He explained to me in a sad tone.

"Wow ok well you're lucky you got me to protect you then." I say trying to cheer him up. I actually feel sorry for him. He constantly gets into these situations where it's life and death.

"Well looking at what you did," He said pointing at the guys on the floor "I feel safe already." He said with his trademark smile.

"AMY WHAT THE F**K , WHY ARE YOU HERE?!?!?!" Tails screams regaining consciousness. Wow he ain't no innocent fox anymore lol.

"I'm your guys' bodyguard." I say with a smile.

Well this is the end of chapter 4 and I hope you guys enjoyed it. I'm sorry for not updating soon I was a bit busy. Also please comment I want to know if you guys like it. If you guys have any ideas please comment and I might use them. I'm very open minded. ShadAmy won't be the main thing in the story, but a nice twist in the book.
