A smile finds its place on my face as I keep doodling on the sheet of paper. I'm supposed to be writing new material for the new album but I really just don't have it in me.

I start drawing some birds and flowers and soon enough I find myself drawing beautiful black curls and thinking of Leigh's silky hair. Oh how I'd kill to have at least a little texture in my hair. And to be as gorgeous as Leigh-Anne? Imagine... She's honestly complete perfection. She's such a kind and loving person, her voice is so angelic...

I shake my head in an attempt to shake the thoughts out of my mind. Why am I even thinking of Leigh right now? I mean, yes she is pretty and she's got a wonderful voice and stage presence. And I'm incredibly proud of her, of all of us but those thoughts are just too much. Even for a best friend.

I go back to my drawing, this time adding some butterflies and bees. I don't know how to pull it together so I stop and get up and out of my chair. I go into the living room where I left my phone and call my best friend, Katherine to ask if she wants to come over. She says yes and not before long, she's already here.

"Katherine!" I give her a tight hug and we walk to the kitchen. "Are you hungry?" I ask.

"Kinda," she answers from the fridge.

"Hey, why don't we bake something? Like old times!" I suggest. "We can make cookies! Or cupcakes! Or a cake?"

"Cookies," she opens her phone and searches for recipes. "Ooh, let's make a batch of chocolate chip and a batch of coconut cookies."

"Good idea! Let's start with the chocolate chip ones." I say.

She tells me the ingredients and puts her phone on the counter with the recipe open for us to see. I look for the ingredients and find all but brown sugar.

"Can you run to the store and buy brown sugar? Please Kath!" I plead. I honestly hate making her go but I can't because of the paps. They turn everyday errands like this into hard chores but it's worth it, the fans and the fame is definitely worth it.

"Okay, okay. But you owe me!"

I hug her in response. "Thank you! I love you so so much!" She laughs and I join.

Katherine leaves to go to the store so I lie down on the couch and check my phone. I go on Instagram and like a few fan pictures and watch a couple makeup videos. Usually, I can barely put on even the simplest makeup but these videos are both fun to watch and I learn some tips from them.

When Katherine comes back we dive straight back into baking the cookies and after a while they're in the oven cooking.

"It's so nice to do stuff like this every once in a while," I say as we're seated on the couch. "I miss you so much when I'm on tour and working."

"Yeah, I bet it's good to get away from your famous lifestyle and just calm down a bit. But you have to tell me all about touring all around the world! Because you literally went everywhere! From Australia to Asia to Europe!" Katherine says enthusiastically. "But it's a bummer you guys couldn't go to America on tour."

"I know! But the label didn't let us go to America because they said we 'didn't fully crack America', it's so unfair!"

"Definitely," she nods. "Anyway, tell me all about what happened these last few months."

"Not much, really," I shrug. "You know, tour and promo and writing..."

"That's not what I mean, silly!" She laughs, "I mean have you been on any dates? Or fancy anyone? Found yourself a boyfriend yet?"

"Not really, I've been really busy." I giggle as she winks at me. "But you know what, I kinda miss the whole dating thing, especially the first bits. You know, when you have a crush on each other and it's all sweet and innocent."

"Oh, yeah I know what you mean. That bit is the cutest!"

An idea seems to strike her and she smiles evilly and I start to get nervous.

"We're going out tonight!" Oh no...

Ooooooh what's gonna happen when they go out? Drama...?

Okay so I know it's a short chapter but I've already started writing the next chapter and there's some exciting stuff coming!!
