mel's POV

i got ready and went outside. it was raining a bit, but still sunny. i saw a rainbow.

i knocked on ashley's door and she opened it. we smiled. and hugged. and kissed. oops?

"don't stand in the rain, come inside lil bean" she told me

"this is why i love you" i went inside and gave her a little kiss

we grabbed some popcorn, coke and chocolate and went to her room.

she put on netflix and we ate. and sometimes cuddled, but mostly ate. damn i live food.

life was good. everything was ok that night. it was like living the dream. something everyone wants.

"aw cutie i have to go.." i said but of course i wasn't happy.

"w-why?" her smile disappeared.

"remember? school starts tomorrow. we have to go to bed early" i tried to cheer her up

"uh.. what? school doesn't sta-- OH MY GOD. I FORGOT IT'S SCHOOL TOMORROW. W-WAIT ISN'T THERE A WEEK LEFT?!"

"omg ashley. did you seriously forgot??"

"y-yes..?"

"fuck. b-but that means you can't come to school tomorrow. i mean, you don't have your reading done, right?"

"oh shoot. i forgot that too.. what the heck do i do?"

"tomorrow you need to act sick. i think that's the only way you could survive mrs. zeene's harsh words."

"uh.. yeah. i'll skip tomorrow.. but i'll miss you"

"i will miss you too" i smiled and opened the door.

"w-wait, ashley?" i wondered, "w-what if tyler asks you where you are? i can tell him you are sick, but how are we gonna tell him?"

"let's not think about it. he won't know. but i'll have to break up with him anyways.. so.. i guess that just avoid talking to him? i don't know.."

"i'll try. thanks for having me!" i went outside.

it was cold, but i lived right next to her, so i was home immediately.

i quickly finished my project and went to sleep.

i wondered about ashley. how am i so lucky to get a girl like her? she is perfect in every way.. but me? i am nothing compared to her.

but i'm happy that she chose me..
