Memory Is A Key Thing

Amelia's Pov-

My eyes snap open.

"Austin!" I murmur.

"Who's Austin...?" Austin said, my eyes widened, tears threatening to spill.

"You mean you don't remember me?" I whisper.

"No..." Austin said looking at my face closely. "But I remember her. She's my girlfriend."

I turned my face to see none other then Tabitha standing there. Looking at Austin.

Her frown turned into a smirk, knowing she had Austin now.

No.. No this couldn't be happening.

Tears rolled down my cheeks.

"No.. I'm your girlfriend!" I say.

"No your not she is." Austin said pointing to Tabitha.

Tabitha walked to Austin and sat next to him.

"You heard him, he doesn't remember you Amelia. Why don't you leave." Tabitha said not taking her eyes off Austin.

I looked down, getting up from my spot and walked out the door.

This couldn't be happening, but it was. It was really happening.

I brushed my tears away. Feeling truly abandoned.

Not only was Justin after me, my own boyfriend didnt even remember me!

I walked out of the hospital noticing the time. 2:34 in the morning.

I sigh realizing Mom came home last night late.

She probably was home now.

I drove home in silence.

I opened the door to my home, finally breaking down.

Everything I cared about gone. Taken away from me.

Tears flooded my vision.

"Babe? Is that you?" A tired Mom said once she saw me she ran to my side. "Oh my gosh baby! what happened? Why are you crying?"

I only sobbed harder.

I explained what happened to Mom, her nearly in tears herself.

Although I didn't tell her about the threats with Justin. I figured, what else do I have to live for. The one person I truly loved didnt even remember me.

Then it struck me. Tabitha won.

She got her price, at the expense of my happiness.

It was the worst feeling in the world.

I felt totally lost and abandoned again.
