October, 11, 2014FSoG the movie received a mauling at Las Vegas with critics slating onscreen chemistry between Jamie, Dakota and lackluster development of the love story. When Jamie and Dakota meet up in October, fans of the novels are signing a petition in increasing numbers demanding that they be replaced. Anti-domestic abuse activists are campaigning in the media turning prospective movie goers away from a movie they claim glamorises abuse. Flash forward to October, 11, 2015 Jamie steps in front of Dakota as a gun is fired. His head stops the bullet aimed at her. Jamie is pronounced dead at Dakota's Beverly Hills home. She shoots and disables the person that shot Jamie. Before being interviewed by the Police about the double shooting incident, Dakota seeks legal advice from Bill Costa, a criminal defense attorney Audrey recommended.
During preparation, Bill gets increasingly concerned as Dakota side steps questions about injuries in her medical records when Jamie was with her. Dulcie who is in the conference room with Dakota and her attorneys is oblivious to the grave issues the adults discuss. The toddler's attention is captivated by Dakota's vibrating cell phone that is just out of reach.
Dakota accepts the call, to find an angry Jamie at the other end of the line.
Millie who is in Bill's waiting room with Fergie, Dakota's lifelong friend, is intrigued by the twins that Fergie gave birth to on March, 15, 2015, Ruby and Trip.
Flash forward to March, 1, 2015 Lucy disappeared without a trace on October, 11, 2014. The teenager's disappearance weighs heavy on Dakota's conscience. Had she known the extent of terror related grooming she would have talked to Lucy immediately after Svend confided in her. A titian haired victim of recent air strikes is said to match Lucy's description, so her veteran father, Pete is making a trip to identify the body and bring her remains back home for burial. The only way to assuage her guilt about Lucy's disappearance is being part of a public awareness effort, so no other family suffers the same loss.
