"What are you doing here?" You turned, not noticing Flavio and barely feeling his lips on your ear.
"Kuro?" He was wearing a black motorbike-racing jumpsuit and black boots. It felt weird seeing him out of his stiff uniform. However, standing there with perfect posture and his thin lips in a thin, unchanging line—he didn't look any less intimidating.
"I should ask you the same thing" Flavio asked but there was an air of annoyance in his usually cheery voice.
Kuro blinked, not the least bit bothered by Flavio's tone and perhaps was even pleased with himself since you could see an uncharacteristic gleam of mischief in his usually dead eyes. "Luciano ordered me to come and tell you that he needs you at the moment"
"Why didn't he just call me?"
"It is urgent" He glanced sideways at you "and I'm afraid that your phone was either dead or you turned it off"
Flavio sighed before straightening himself up and turning to you with his usual smile "I'm sorry about this, bella. I'll take you home—
"He wants you to meet up with him in his office at the headquarters" Kuro interrupted with his face never giving anything away "Now"
"Well then I suppose you should take her home then" Flavio had meant it to be sarcastic because he recoiled with wide eyes the same way you did when Kuro nodded with a flat 'yes'.

"A motorbike?" You spoke without thinking, when Kuro had led me outside to where his ride was after I showered and changed into a pair of jeans Flavio had brought with us.
"I'm wearing the clothes for it, aren't I?" He took one of the two helmets (was he planning for you to come with him?), which hang from the handles of the liquid onyx bike and handed it over to you.
"Yeah, but" You strapped on the gear "You never really struck me as one of those guys who would actually ride one"
"How so?" He got on and motioned for you to get on. He didn't sound angry, just bored. Or maybe uninterested, it was hard to read a guy like him.
"I dunno" You lied, although it was partially true. "You just do" You sat behind him but when he started the engine you realized something and pulled your elbows down "Um..."
Kuro didn't even have to look and just said: "Just put your hands on my shoulders"
You kept still before slowly putting my palms on his shoulders "Okay... Just so you know, I'm not really used to—SHIT!" It just flew out of your mouth because the bike propelled itself forward too early and too fast than you expected.
"Not used to bikes, are we?" He had slowed down just enough so that my fingers wouldn't bury themselves down his bones and so that you wouldn't yell every time we rounded a corner.
You chuckled dryly, "What gave me away?"
"Lucky guess" You couldn't see him behind his helmet but for some reason you imagined him smirking underneath it, and for some reason you felt my entire being loosen. You finally managed to tell him that we weren't on the road, which Flavio and you took before.
"This is a different route I always take" He said, "It takes almost twice as long though"
"Then why do you take it?"
"I don't know. Maybe because the peace and quiet it brings is a nice break from my everyday life dealing with idiots and morons" You laughed because you knew that he was speaking of his three comrades. His shoulders shook lightly and it wasn't because of the bike, you let yourself smile because you knew that he was also laughing.
