Everybody at the table was as normal as they could be. Luciano was stabbing his food while listening to his brother bitch about how much weight he had lost this month and how his suit may not fit him anymore, and Kuro and Lutz were eating peacefully. Everybody was normal except for you, but you tried to act normal.
Two days and ten hours have passed since. No "It's gonna be okay", no "You'll get over it".
Once you got home, Flavio bathed and put you inside a nightgown. The following morning, nobody even mentioned the incident. You assumed it was just typical business with them.
Surprisingly, when you expected yourself to be traumatized you seemed to not care as much.
"So, bella" Flavio turned to you "What do you want to do today?"
You looked at him. He was the one who usually suggested what to do.
"Bella?" He and the others were all staring at you now. You bit down on your lip and tried to think of an answer.
You brushed a strand of hair behind your ear, "C-can we go to the market?" You asked reluctantly. Your cheeks were flushed and you were a little embarrassed for some reason.
However, Flavio just smiled. "May I ask why?"
You shrugged "I just wanna go outside" You haven't left the mansion since the incident, and as much as you loved the library you needed some fresh air in your lungs, even if it's the smell of strangers' sweat and fresh food from farms and such.
"I'll come with you" Luciano declared. Everyone turned to him.
He refused to make eye contact, stabbing the pork even harder. "I don't think I can stand the smell of this house without yelling at Flavio" He was referring to the rotting corpses and blood scattered around the place. While Kuro and you were gone, the Rebels attacked the estate. When you returned, the place was a war field, but the four walked past the bodies like they were nothing but road kill.
Flavio's grin grew wider "Perfect."
"Is there anything you would like to buy?" Flavio asked as you walked side by side in the marketplace. Stands lined the streets, vendors making deals and whatnot. Little kids in dresses and shorts chased each other, earning angry rants from the adults. The Italian sun fell like a splash of gold down the entire area.
You shook your head, unable to contain your smile, "I just wanna walk around"
Luciano and his two right-hand men were right behind you two, scowling under the light like a trio of vampires. But it was a shitty simile.
'If you ask me, they are way better than any sparkling, brooding 100-year-old stalker.'
Lutz towered over most Italians thanks to his Germanic bloodline. His toned body made sure that everything he wore hugged him just right. The scars all over him paired with his tough-guy face just made him more badass than he already was. Kuro had beautiful ivory skin, complemented by his ebony hair and red eyes that held mystery. And then there was Luciano.
Luciano.
As much as you hated to admit it he was an Adonis. You never really understood why so many people are into danger, but maybe it has something to do with genetics; a code that has long been wired in human brains. The desire for the strong and the powerful for the sake of strong and powerful offspring. Luciano was a charming leader with this alpha male-thing going on.
"How about we go buy some fresh tomatoes?" Flavio slid his fingers into yours and you almost heard a low growl from one of the three.
However, something caught your eye, or rather someone, and you immediately freed yourself from Flavio and let your feet started taking control. The familiar strawberry blonde hair stood out from the rich shades of chestnuts and ravens.
