You didn't feel the burning sensation in your stomach or the force of a bullet train bashing the walls of your skull from the inside, in fact, you didn't feel a thing when you woke up, except maybe irk from the harsh white light from the ceiling. However, two heads hovered above your face, their bodies slightly shading you.

One of them had clasped their hands together while the other turned to say something you didn't catch.

You inhaled the disinfectant in the air and sniffed.

You tested your arm and you were glad to find out that it was functioning. You clenched and unclenched your fist before you brought your hand to the side of your head.

   "What?" You muttered.

"I said" Claw-like fingers clung to your shoulders and then Arin's face was right in front of yours, her orange scent surprisingly providing comfort instead of making you nauseated.

   "'Are you okay?'"

You raised an eyebrow, "Why wouldn't I be?" You gasped, "Oh, crap! What time is it? We're late for class—"Calm down, nutjob!"

   She shook you.

   "It's eight PM"

"Oh." You let out a sigh of relief.

"Geez, you're a freak" She laughed and let go.

   "So where are we?"

"Are you blind? We're in the hotel clinic" She gestured around, the eggshell and light blue walls and medical bed and crucifix on the bedside table.

"Thank you, Arin" You retorted sarcastically "I meant why are we here?"

"You fainted, Miss Smartass. I went to check up on you when you didn't come back to the party and bam! There you were like some drunk on the streets"

   "I fainted?"

   She nodded.

"We brought you here, the doctor said everything was fine and that it was just fatigue, but she wanted to double-check" Allen appeared with a glass of water.

   You took it gratefully.

"There she is! Bella, are you okay?"

Feliciano ran inside but Ludwig caught him by the collar.

"Not so fast" He groaned, rubbing his temples.

Kiku approached the bed, a faint smile gracing his pale cheeks, "You are finally awake. We're relieved"

"Thanks, Kiku, all of you. How long was I out?"

"A minute or two, but it was enough to scare the living—"Allen shoved a nectarine into his sister's mouth to shut her up.

"Behave yourself, Arin" He mumbled, his face not giving away anything.

There was a knock on the door and soon a doctor wearing a too much vapor rub went inside, "Miss Lastname? Seems like you're finally awake"

   "Uh, yeah"

"I'm happy to say that there is nothing major for you to worry about, but I do recommend some much-needed rest"

After more technical babble and recommendations, you thanked her and wasted no time getting off the bed and out the clinic.

You went straight to the ballroom where everyone was either pacing around or completely still. When they saw you, everyone finally exhaled.

"Dudette, you're alive!" Alfred leapt towards you, but you sidestepped to avoid getting your ribs crushed.

"I'm fine, Alfred, don't worry. I don't plan on dying anytime soon"

"I sure hope not" Arthur approached you, "Everyone was worried, what happened?"

You rubbed your nose, "Fatigue, but I'll do better, I promise. I'm sorry for making you guys worry"

You felt something heavy on the top of your head. You glanced up and met Ludwig's eyes, "Starting from now on, I'm putting you on a strict diet and fitness plan along with a time management table"

You laughed, "That's so cute, you remind me of a dad"

The room fell into a brief and quiet pause before erupting to laughter. Ludwig pulled out his hand and looked away.

Gilbert patted him on the back, "Oh, Vest..." He tried to say something, but his cackling stole his breath.

   "Oh, poor, poor, Vest"

"Come on, how about we get back to partying?" Mathias hooked you close to his chest.

"Thanks, but..." You stopped, wondering if you should say no. You've caused enough trouble and it wouldn't be nice to just cancel a party they've planned for weeks.

"Oh, boys, come on. She's already fainted, don't you think she should spend the rest of her birthday in bed?" Arin saved you once again.

"She's right" Ludwig spoke up again, "Be sure to take it easy, all right?"

   You grinned "Yessir"

After more happy birthday's and a couple of much-demanded hugs, you and the twins went out the lobby carrying bags and unwrapped boxes, you called for a cab.

As you lay the presents in the backseat, you realized something and swore.

Arin looked over her shoulder from the passenger seat, "What is it?"

"My purse. I must've left it somewhere on the way here"

"I'll help you find it" Allen said.

You nodded and jogged inside before Allen got out the car. You were almost at the elevator when someone called, "Excuse me?"

You spun around, almost hitting your face on someone's chest.

"You dropped this" He held up your purse.

You almost snatched it off his gloved hand out of joy, "Oh, thank you, thank you!"

He chuckled, deep and sexy. You looked up before looking away in an instant. Reddish brown hair and piercings—a bad boy most definitely. A beautifully fitted t-shirt that showed off those triceps and tattoos... An undeniably hot bad boy, too.

Officially the best birthday. Ever. You said to yourself, biting your lower lip.

"Just be sure to take care of your stuff, dollface. Not everyone is as nice as me" He winked and then walked away, shoving his hands into the front pockets of his jeans.

"Hey, you found it" Allen panted after finally reaching you.

You blinked as you watched him walked away, happy to have met someone so... well, hot.

Allen raised his eyebrow, following your gaze and then turning back to you "Someone you know?"

   You shook your head.

   "No"

I have finally finished another book. I feel so accomplished. First of all, a shout-out and a big "THANK YOU" to my parents and the Big Man upstairs who listened when no one else heard. I could have never survived without them.

And of course, another thank you for my readers who supported me throughout the creation of this book.

I will now be answering questions, so if you have any concerning the story, please leave a comment and I will be sure to reply as soon as I can. :D
