Chapter 9 ~ You Left Me Behind

Dean was confused as to why Seth left. How was Seth leaving going to make any of them happy? Yes, it was Seth's fault as to why Dean took the pills and why Roman tried to drown himself in a hospital toilet, but that doesn't mean him abandoning his friends would make anything better.

"Seth, wait!" Dean exclaimed, sitting up in bed. "Please, I need you!"

It was too late. Seth was long gone and couldn't even hear Dean's screams. Seth was on his way to his car, ready to go back to his hotel room to get his stuff. He didn't want to hurt either of them any longer and figured the best thing to do was let them be together, since it seemed to be what Dean wanted.

The memory of Dean kissing Roman flashed into Seth's mind, causing him to cringe. It caused him pain to think about that. to think about how lustful Dean seemed to be towards Roman. He could see the love in Dean's eyes when he looked at Roman. Whether Roman wanted to admit anything or not, Seth knew there was something going on between them. The reason it didn't work out for Dean and Seth was because Roman and Dean were meant to be together. It was destined, as Seth saw it.

Roman kissed Dean back. Seth saw it happen and that's what made it hurt even more. Even though Seth was hopelessly in love with Dean, he was willing to give him to someone else if it made Dean happy. All Seth wanted for the lunatic to be happy and if being with Roman made him that way, so be it.

Dean, on the other hand, didn't see it the same way Seth did. He thought that if Seth really loved him, he wouldn't have left. He would have punched Roman for kissing Dean. But, he did understand why his lover didn't do anything; he was too in shock to.

"You okay, Dean?" Roman asked, helping him to lay back down. Dean shrugged, slumping into his bed. "Do you need to talk?"

Dean shook his head and turned away from him. He sniffled softly, closing his eyes. He wanted to get away from the empty feeling in his heart. He wanted to forget everything and wake up with no memory of Seth or what he did. He wanted to start over.

Roman knew Dean was hurting and wanted to stop it. He sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed Dean's back softly, seeing Dean jump at first, startled, and then slowly relax, becoming used to the warmth of Roman's hand. Roman smiled and continued to do it, noticing Dean getting sleepy.

"Rommie, I'm sorry," Dean mumbled, it obvious that his medicine was kicking in. "I didn't mean to upset you."

"Upset me?" Roman asked, confused. Roman wasn't mad at Dean for anything. "I'm not upset, Dean."

"Are you sure? I was a meanie and wouldn't answer your question," Dean whimpered, scooting closer to Roman. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Dean. I understand why you did it," Roman replied, kissing his head. "Get some rest, okay? I'll be here whenever you need me."

"Okay, Rommie," he responded, moving Roman's hand down a little, it landing on his butt. He giggled.

"Uh, what are you doing, Dean?"

"I want you to feel it and like it."

Roman moved his hand and continued to rub Dean's back, ignoring his response. Dean's medicine was a high dosage, which would explain his behavior.

Soon enough, Dean dozed off while Roman laid beside him, watching the TV set up in his room.

Dean was let out of the hospital a couple of days later, being told that the pills were completely out of his system. Roman was considered responsible for him; at least that's what the doctors said.
