Chapter 6 Winter is here!

*Vanessa's POV*

Over the week it has been snowing, it was so beautiful, and the Yule Ball is almost here, and Christmas, I'm really excited, and I, Vanessa Courtney Cults, Cults is my actually last name, my parents gave me a fake last name to hide my actual name and so I didn't scare anyone, people (Including wizards) don't like vampires.

"Hey, Fred." I said coming up to Fred and George, Mary blushed when she saw George and when I saw her blush it made me smile, they should really go out.

"Hey, so, what's up?" Fred asked, we had a free block so we could do whatever we wanted, but I had to practice for my Potions test so I kinda had time to practice now, but I would kinda rather hang out with my friends, oh well, I really don't want to flunk.

"Hey, anyone wanna practice for that test?" I asked and it was just Angelina and Mary that nodded and I smiled, at least there were some people that would rather focus on their grades.

"Hey, we will meet you guys in the common room." I said and me and the girls all went up to our dorm to get our spell books, we came into our dorm and grabbed our spell books from our little shelves, we kept shelves in our dorms for our spell books and other books we needed for Hogwarts.

"I hope we don't flunk." Mary said and I nodded, I really didn't want to flunk this class, I was already flunking herbolagy and I didn't need to flunk any other classes

We walked up to the fat lady portrait, which was our door to our common room, she looked at us and stuck her nose up.

"If you wish to pass, you have to learn manners!" She said, it was probably towards Mary though, Mary never liked the fat lady, Mary just huffed and gave the fat lady a glare.

"Fine." Mary said after a few glares from me and Angelina, I looked at the fat lady and smiled

"Mistletoe." I whispered and she opened the door for us, we walked into the common room and I sat down by Fred, he seemed happy, and blushing, hmm wonder why.

"So, what were you guys talking about?" I asked looking at them all

"Yeah, what were we talking about, Fred." Francesca said crossing her arms and looking at him with a smile but angry but still smiling look, somethings gotta be up.

"Uh, nothing." Fred said glaring at Francesca and Francesca just rolled her eyes and giggled

"OK, whats going on?" I asked standing up and putting my hands on my hips, Fred just looked at me and blushed even more, I wanted to know what he was hiding from me.

"Well?" I said with one eye brow raised and Francesca looked at Fred and gave him a glare, he looked at her then me, fright and embarrassment on his face.

"Van- I mean Gabrielle, I-I...I really li-" He couldn't finish his words when Bertha came in, she looked at Fred and fluttered her eye lashes, man she was SO annoying, then she looked at me and glared, I returned the unfriendly glare.

"Hey, Freddy." She said walking over to him, and sitting by him, he looked at her and then rolled his eyes

"Hello, Bertha." Fred said and moved away from Bertha

"Say, why don't you go to the Yule Ball with me Freddy?" Bertha asked and Fred just gave her a look that said that he was starting to get really annoyed with her.

"Because, I'm going with Gabrielle, not you." Fred said and got up from where he was sitting, but Bertha sat him back down.

"Why not go with me and not.. her." Bertha said giving me deadly glares but I just shook them off and gave Bertha glares back, she just rolled her eyes and sat closer to Fred, playing with his hair, I was kinda jealous but, don't tell anyone!
