I rubbed the side of my stomach, wincing a bit from the pain before entering the already crowded ballroom. The princes were bound to enter, all masked for their safety. I stood in the crowd, blending in. I wore a mask, very much like the others. Today's feast will be one of surprise, and a party that no one would forget. I bumped into a boy, startling him. He gave me a cross look, before huffing and walked away. I mentally sighed, acknowledging the fact that my job today was not to kill, but rather to protect Fallon. I had no choice, what so ever, they were princes, heirs to the thrones. If one of the heirs died, any of the kingdoms would fall into chaos. I could not harm Ashton unless he was out to kill me. I smirked, acknowledging the fact that he had no idea what I looked like. There was the tapping of the microphone, silencing the chatty crowd as we all parted ways. The four princes stood, all dressed royally and handsomely.
"Announcing his royal highness, the crown prince to the North!" A small round man spoke into the microphone, as Luis stepped forward. He walked the red carpet, paying no attention to the people around him while everyone got a good look at him. Tufts of blonde hair and silvery mercury eyes were the only features that we could catch behind his yellow-silver mask, which made up about a quarter of the school population.
"Now announcing his royal highness, the crown prince the South!" A young girl spoke, wearing a pink-silver mask spoke into a second microphone, just as Marco stepped forward. He walked cautiously on the red carpet, his red-silver mask gleaming, his emerald green eyes contrasting the mask and his black curls bouncing on his head as he walked- once again, common features in the school. "I am Princess Adelaide, the southern prince's younger sister." She beamed at the crowd, her curly hair bouncing at every step and followed her brother.
"The royal crown prince of the East, please welcome... Prince Fallon!" A girl spoke, her face hidden behind a purple-silver mask, smiling widely as Fallon stepped forward. He had a blue-silver mask on, nodding at the girl before the girl spoke. "I am Princess Sophia, Prince Fallon's younger sister. Fallon and I are proud to be here, at The Academy. Sophia stepped off the platform and towards her brother elegantly, unlike Adelaide. When Fallon reached where the two other princes were, he took off his mask, revealing his face to the crowd. His amber eyes twinkled brightly off of the light, and a mass of messy jet-black hair like mine. There were a few sighs, more to add to his fan club, I guess. I blinked twice, rippling the air around me to darken my "blue" eyes, all to hide my identity. While everyone was focused on Fallon, I noticed a tall man step up to the microphone, tapping it several times to get everyone's attention.
"The last of the four royal princes, Prince Ashton of the West!" The man spoke while Ashton stepped forward. The prince walked forward silently, a bit lonely without his deceased sister Lilith to be introduced as well. Just as he reached the other royals, he took off his black-silver mask, turning a full 360 so that everyone could capture his looks. With pale skin, brown hair and red streaks at the tips, and pitch black eyes, his gaze swept across the crowd, stopping on me. I rippled the air around me, making me appear to disappear. I made my way through the crowd, stepping outside and sat down for a minute, my breaths ragged in knowledge that he saw me, but obviously didn't know that it was the real me. He wouldn't have known, I think, I blended to look common. He would surely forget my disguise by tomorrow. I just have to hope that he doesn't come look for me.

Looks like X is a little nervous! Only Fallon and Ashton showed their faces. Adelaide and Sophia did not remove theirs for their safety. By the way, Adelaide is only 10, while Sophia is 15.
