"Poor Anastasia, so it seems that she did not realize that I knew who she was. It was nice to see my old mentor again, Ninja looked not a day over twenty, and to be honest, it had been years since I had seen him. Now that Fallon had the blade, I could just use Octavius's substitute blade as my silver. I sighed, feeling the blade. It wasn't as sharp or fast as Anne's blade, but it will do for now. It was day, an odd time for me to be out, but I was in disguise, no one could detect me, minus the cameras. Too bad, I guess. I mean, to the cameras, I just looked like any ordinary student at the Academy.

I snapped my fingers, my red eyes turning a brilliant clear icy blue. I walked silently to my only class of the day, Math Analysis. I really didn't understand why we had to take math, but I decided not to argue. Mr. Lark, our teacher was neatly writing out our lesson for the day, Equations of Circles when I walked in the room, right as the bell rang.

"Can anyone tell me what the equation of a circle is?" I raised my hand, a bit bored by the simple question that no one could get. "Yes?"

"It would be x minus h quantity squared plus y minus k quantity squared equals r squared. H comma k, being the center, and r, being the radius." He nodded slowly, writing it down on the board, then droned on about how to find the intersection of a line and circle algebraically. I zoned out, my thoughts about how to prove Ashton was guilty. Suddenly, my thought popped, Mr. Lark standing in front of me, his arms crossed. "Pardon?" I weakly smiled, a bit embarrassed about being caught daydreaming in class. He sighed, before repeating his question.

"What would the last step be in finding the intersection of a line and circle algebraically?" My eyes lightened before I answered confidently.

"You would check your result by substituting the coordinates of the intersection points in the two original equations." Mr. Lark nodded again, pleased with my answer and copied it down on the board. The bell rang, signally the end of class, allowing Mr. Lark to write out our homework assignments for the day. On page 222-223, I had to solve exercises 1-20 all, 24-34 all, 50-57 all. I wasn't placed in an honors class for nothing.

I left class quickly, making my way invisible out of the school. I jogged off campus to a nearby coffee shop, waiting in line where a barista was handing people coffee. I stepped forward, a pretty blonde girl with light blue eyes smiled at me. "What can I get for you?"

"Black coffee," I spoke, thickening my accent. "No sugar. Black like my soul." The girl winked at me and giggled. She turned around, made my coffee and handed it to me.

"That will be $3.99," I fished out a five-dollar bill, handing it to her.

"Keep the change." She grinned, putting it in the register while I walked away to a table. I sipped my coffee, gazing out the window. I would meet Ashton on the roof tonight. Raven and Sam wouldn't take a day to get to him. It was time to shed blood. The same girl from before slid into the seat in front of me with a creamy latte.

"Hi, I'm Lisa." I nodded, my gaze turning to her before speaking. "I'm on a break. What's your name?"

"Call me Alexei," I gave her a small smile before wiping my lips with a napkin. "It's nice to meet someone that isn't in my school."

"Oh? What school?"

"The Academy, the private one in this area." Lisa's eyes widened at the prestigious school. I pulled out my phone, taking a scan at the time. "Oh, I must be going. I guess I'll see you around?" I stood up, ready to leave the store when I felt a small hand on my shoulder.

"Can I at least have your number?" I shrugged, pulling out a pen and took the napkin in her hand before messily scrawling 1-800-Get-Lost and disappeared out of the door, smirking and imagining her irritated response.

Oh my goodness. I feel bad for the poor girl. She had just got her hopes up about X when suddenly that Get-Lost number squished it. *Sigh*
