I hummed softly as I tapped my pencil on my desk the gentle sounds of which disappeared into the busy ambiance of the classroom.

'God, why is math so boring?'

"Miss (Y/n)!"

I looked up at my teacher, "Yes, Mr. Johnson?"

He smirked at me, and I rolled my eyes.

"The answer to this question?"

I sighed and got up walking up to the board, taking the marker from him. I quickly glanced over the equation and erased it.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Mr. Johnson glared at me.

I looked up at him innocently. "I'm answering the equation... After I correct it, of course."

I quickly rewrote the equation to the correct format and put a nice, neat, '10' as the answer. Capping the marker, I placed it gently back in my teacher's hand before walking back to my seat and crossed my legs.

I held back a laugh when he almost snapped the marker cap in his hand as he stared at the board. He turned around and cleared his throat.

"Very well... Let us move on now." He continued his lesson, and I couldn't help but sigh as I picked at my uniform skirt uninterested.

'This is the 4th time he's tried to make me look stupid... Has he not learned by now that he's never going to succeed?'

My school was one of the most prestigious schools in this region, widely known for talented, intellectual (wealthy) students first through third years of high school. We specialized in our intelligence and some sports such as swim, volleyball, golf, dance, and gymnastics. I am here solely on scholarship; I must maintain an average of 4.0 out a 6.0 GPA. However, with me have a solid 5.0 GPA, this was no issue.

"Miss (y/n)-"

"9."

I groaned inwardly.

'5th time.'

~le lovely time skip~

The final bell rang, and I quickly left the classroom. I am a second year in high school, so I am lucky to be on the second floor, but I won't have that luxury next year or the year after. Thankfully, we were barely through the first half of the first semester, so I still have a little while to think about that.

I walked down the hallway down to my locker by the school entrance and quickly spun the combination in the lock and traded my indoor shoes for my outdoor ones. I was lucky enough to not have volleyball or gym practice today...

I mentally groaned thinking about my schedule for next week, suddenly thanking god that it was Friday and that we were taking this weekend off; so now I wouldn't have to sit through class and grueling training for another two days.

I walked out of the entrance of the school and continued to walk down the sidewalk to my house. I didn't live far from school, so it was a relatively short journey.

My house was huge, and I swear I'm not being arrogant... it's just huge.

It was two stories with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Not including the workshop, game room, study, living room, and kitchen. That and the vast land behind and around the house provided ample entertainment.

Now, don't get me wrong; I may be on a scholarship at a prestigious school, but that doesn't mean I'm not rich. I just don't like to live up to the snotty, rich girl stereotype. Which is precisely why I am in building A at school, I requested being there, and due to getting a scholarship, I was allowed to pick my building.
