Time and Water (Haikyuu! X Reader)

First Day pt 1

(Y/n)'s POV:

A loud ringing awoke me from my sleep. I grumbled under my breath and slammed my hand around until I accidentally knock my phone off the dresser.

"Kami-sama son of a b-"

I paused and laughed at myself before reaching out and swooping my phone off the floor. I check through my messages and couldn't help but laugh again at my friend's over-excited speech.

FROM: Arina

Subject: Reverse Harlem

HEY HEY HEY! Goodddd morning captain! Vice-captain at your service and ready for work! GIRL. You've got to tell me more about those hotties you got with you. What are they like?

I paused for a moment if there was another fan anywhere in the world even slightly close to loving their anime as much as I do, It's Arina... I bite my lip and reply quickly.

I laughed at my joke and my phone buzzed once again.

I tried desperately to not bust out laughing at the ship's name for Kageyama and Hinata. I slide out of bed and chose quickly ran to the bathroom. I relieved myself then brushed my teeth and my hair. I pull out a small makeup bag and brush on a soft, shimmery eye shadow, a thin wing for my eyeliner, and run a quick swipe of mascara and light pink, cotton candy-flavored lip-gloss and nodded, seemingly content. I slip into my uniform and hold my shoes in my hand, looking into the full-length mirror on my wall.

"It's a little more than usual but I got to dress to impress!"

I walked out of the door and was surprised to hear quiet in the house. I cautiously make my way downstairs, the smell of bacon grease and fresh maple syrup hit my nose. I sighed in content, and am surprised to see everyone dressed and standing anxiously in a huddle. I get closer and everyone perks up to see me coming down. I then watch as their faces turn red and I slip my heels on, growing an inch and a half.

I smile warmly and tilt my head, "Good morning, everyone."

I turn to the side at Alexis's arrival and nod at the box she was carrying. I reached in and pulled several bento boxes it and slowly handed each one to the boys... when I realized they were standing in a straight line. I crinkled my nose in confusion, before shrugging. Once I finished, I looked at them; prepared to give them a before school talk before sighing.

"Tadashi~" I said in a sing-songy voice.

Everyone stiffened when I said his first name and watched as I got closer to him. I finally stand in front of him and his face is red. I slid my hands up his chest, up to his collar, and grabbed his tie, yanking him down slightly, just so that he's eye-level with me.

"H-hai??" his voice went up several octaves and I couldn't help but laugh while I pulled him down and proceed to fix his tie.

I giggled at the sputtering male. "Your tie wasn't tied right."

"O-Oh... uh... Thank you!"

"You're adorable." I pecked his cheek and moved away to the front of everyone. Unaware of the several glares the adorable little pinch server received.

"Alright! Today's a big day!"

They nod and Shoyou had a large smile on his face, along with Tooru and Koutaro.

"Alright, everyone please remember. No talking about the anime your from. Everyone remember your back story, text me if you have any issues." I say with a smile.

Everyone smiles again and I laughed, "Is everyone okay? Are you fully prepared for today?"

"Nervous.. but it should be okay. We are pretty well-informed thanks to you."

"Thank you, Koushi."

His face turned a deep red and he nodded in understanding. I nodded and together, we walked out of the house and piled into the limo. The drive commenced and within the next 10 minutes, we made it to the front of the school.

"Milady.. the crowd seems bigger than usual today.." Noah said a bit nervously. I gulped and sighed.

"Why is there a crowd?" the boys asked.

I flushed a dark red and shyly smile, "There's one thing I may have forgotten to mention...."

Noah opened the door and I immediately met with fangirling and fanboy screams.

"President (y/n)!!!"

"I am also the student council president..."

I stepped out and smiled at the rather very very... very large crowd of boys and girls. I let out a sigh and was taken by surprise when I felt an arm over my shoulder.

"Come on." a moody voice said, nudging me forward.

"K-Kei...?" I squeaked out.

He rolled his eyes and nudged me slightly harder, "Just because your a princess doesn't mean you can call me that."

I smiled as he helped me through the crowd, completely unaware of the boys guarding me in.

We walked in and I led the boys into the common halls. It was the first floor of the five-floor building.

I turned and started looking at papers. "Well, I am pretty sure I have at least a class with all of you.. so, let me see..."

I glanced over everyone's schedule and made a mental map.

"Alright... Let's see who-"

"COUNCIL PRESIDENT!!!"

I groaned as the familiar voice hit my ears. Sure enough when I turned to face the caller, a short flash of bubble gum pink flashed by and I held out my foot, causing Flash to tumble onto the ground. A loud yell and a groan of pain sounded out and I placed the ball of my foot on the culprit's chest.

"CP."

"Lance. It's Monday and I'm really busy. Could you perhaps be a good student today?"

Lance laughed, his blond hair with bubble gum pink highlights bounded then swayed to the left as he tilted his head at me.

"A good student? What is that? Is that what they call tarts like you?"

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, "Don't use words that your small mind doesn't understand."

The boys laughed behind me and I couldn't help but crack a smirk at myself too.

"So Lance. You have two options, you can go to class, or I can personally escort you to the principal's office. Your choice."

He growled and helped himself up. "Whatever."

He walked away grumbling and I couldn't help but giggle.

"Well, guys... Welcome to your first day of high school!!"
