Chapter 1 my "normal" day

I feel the blood running down my thighs I can hear My family pounding on the door but I block it out an continue running the blade on my hips. I can hear my sister in law and brother screaming for me to stop I just make another cut . One cut has turned into 47. I see so much blood running down my thighs I just watch it In amusement. I don't even realize my family has stopped pounding on the door. I slide down the wall an look at my cuts and the scars from previous cuts.I sit there mesmerized by the blood trickling out. just as the door opens my brother walks in an looks at me I can see the disappointment in his face. I can feel my body becoming weak and light and dizzy. I see spots and everything's blurry. Then I'm enfolded in darkness as I pass out.

I wake up in my room and look around and sigh I move my long mahogany colored hair an sit up.an move my blankets to find I'm in a pair of shorts I sigh relived you can't see my cuts I never cut far enough down. I look closely and see the faint blood stains on my dark skin. I look over at the time and see it's 6:03 A.M.I get up and go out of my room and look for my brother I stop when I find him in the living room.

"Ben" I say not looking at him

"Anna" he replies disappointment clearly in his voice. I try to hold back my tears and fail. I hear my brother sigh .

"Come here sis"

I walk over to him an sit by him and curl in his lap and cry.

"Bub I'm sorry I know sorry won't fix shit but I'm still sorry." He sighs and runs his fingers through his hair.

"Sis promise me you won't cut again." I take a minute and think about it and cross my fingers

"Ok bub I won't cut again" I say hoping he bought my lie

"Promise me sis" I just nod still holding my fingers crossed. I go to get up and my brother looks at me.

"Sis me and hunter dressed your cuts and everything so yea." My brother states awkwardly. I laugh and put on a fake smile.

"Thanks bub" I then turn and go up to my room and get ready for school. I brush my waist length hair. Throw on a pair of blue jeans and a tank top with my john deer shirt and apply my make up, brush my teeth and throw on my boots and look in the mirror and Plaster on my fake smile.I head down stairs and grab some breakfast grab my uniform for cheerleading and head out the door to my pick up truck.

I arrive to my hell hole 15 minutes before the bell and head to my locker then go Find my friends.

"Lee" I smile and hug my best friend.

"Anna what the hell you were suppose to call me last night so we could go mudding." I smile I can hear the irritation in her thick Louisiana accent. I shrug.

"Me and my brother and his wife hunter got busy." I say starting to get irritated

"Ok Anna calm your sweet southern biscuits" I laugh and greet my other friends just as the bell for first period rings. I grab Lee's hand and drag her to English with me. We walk in talking about jello and take a seat in the back just as the bell rings. We watch mr barker walk in and try to get the classes attention and he succeeds as we hush. It's two minutes after the bell and he's taking roll. He reaches my name.

"Here."

The day goes by in a blur soon it's cheerleading practice. I walk over to the team as there waiting for me since I'm the captain. I round up the girls and we start practice half way through the practice I see a football fly and hit our top of the pyramid Sabrina I run over.

"Back up girls give her the space Sabrina are you ok." She goes to get up

"yea I'm fine" I see carter the quarter back run over
