Chapter 4 always problems

Beep beep beep beep. I shut off my alarm clock and get ready for school. I brush my hair, put on a pair of tight jeans and a tank top with my camo hoodie I grab my school bag and my cheerleading uniform and head to my truck.

I walk up to my best friend, carter and our other friends.

"Lee, carter what did your mom say when you to came home dripping wet." Carter glares at me I just shrug it off and Turn to lee.

"She was furious cause we were soaking her carpet" I laugh as the bell for first period rings and we head to class.

Soon the First half of school is over and lunch rolls around I meet lee, carter and everyone else at the table I sit down in between carter and lee. Just as I sit down carter gets up and moves tables I look at lee she shrugs and starts talking about what happened in 2nd hour. I'm not really paying to much attention to the conversation until I feel someone breathing down my neck I turn to find Cale. I sigh and grit my teeth.

"Hey princess" I fake laugh

"Don't call me that" I look him up and down you can see the damage carter did to his face.

"So I guess you didn't get a good enough wippen if your talking to me again" Cale smirks

"I just noticed your little prick ain't here ta stand up for ya." I shrug not letting him see I was scared.

"So what do you want from me" he smirks and puts his hand on my thigh.

"I think ya know what I want princess." I look at him.

"Cale remove your hand NOW" he doesn't

"Someone's gettin feisty I like" I curl my fist with anger and look him dead in the eye.

"CALE REMOVE YOUR HAND NOW" I say through clenched teeth. He just smirks and moves it farther up that's when I can't take it and collide my fist with his jaw and watch him fall to the floor.

"I told you what to do you didn't do it so this is what you get you dirty basterd." I stand up and walk out of the lunch room. Knowing all eyes are on me I go straight to the girls bathroom.

I'm sitting in a stall with the door locked crying. Lee trying to get me to come out I just sit there. I hear the bell ring but I don't move I just sit there I sit there so long I hear the bell for fourth hour to end I finally move. I open the stall door and look in the mirror I fix myself and walk out of the bathroom I go to my locker And grab my stuff for the last hour of the day and head. To class. I don't pay attention my minds in a gaze I just gaze at my notebook Finally the bell rings.

I walk out to the field for practice and see some of the girls with the football players I see one of our skankiest cheerleaders hanging on carter I laugh and walk over there.

"Jaclyn practice now if your not on the track in 5 seconds imma cut you from the team." She kisses carter and walks away.

"Thanks for running my fun slut" I turn around and look at carter

"Why carter. Why you were so sweet this weekend it's like when were at school your the biggest dick you seen Cale walk over to me But you didn't do anything now if we were back at the super mart you would have been all over him what happend to you." He looked stunned I smile at him and walk to my team.

"So girls new rule if It's 3:00 and I'm not out here or if I am no matter what practice starts that doesn't mean to be hanging around all the meat heads it means be on the field to start routines got it"

"Yes Anna"

"Good now if any of you can't follow that simple rule I will cut you from the team... Now the first routine" I say clapping my hands. I start wrapping up practice around five.

"Girls good practice Sara higher kicks, rose be louder, good job today we'll do good at the Game Friday." I dismiss the team and go rinse off and change I come out to see Jaclyn and carter making out I shake my head and head to my truck.

I check my phone before driving off I see a text from Hunter I answer.

Hey ben started puking up blood so were at the hospital-H

Ok I'll be there in 10-A

Ok see you then P.S. He's loopy-H

I reach the hospital and park and head in.

"Hi ma"am what can I do for you" the receptionist asks

"Hi I'm here to see Benjamin smith" she types on her computer and looks at me.

"Room 223" she smiles sweetly

"Thank you"

"No problem" I head back to find room 223 and walk in to find hunter in a chair next to the bed and a loopy Ben in the bed hooked up to machines I give him a weak smile as he looks at me.

"Sis hiya will you tell her here that I'm fine and I need to go home" he says messing up a few words I laugh and shake my head.

"Bub you need to stay here your cancers acting up" he just laughs at me I sit down and ask hunter what were waiting for.

"The doctor with the x-Ray results" I nod and wait.

"Hi I'm doctor Birch" I smile

"Hi I'm hunter bens wife" the doctor turns to me.

"Hi I'm Anna his sister" she smiles sweetly

"We'll there's no easy way to say this but bens cancer is not looking to promising he doesn't look like he has much longer to live I'm sorry but it looks like he won't make it to the weekend. He could go any minute I'm so sorry I never like saying this I'm sorry" I just stare at her in shock and look at hunter she's crying that's when I feel a tear run down my check.

I sit back in the chair next to my brothers bed I look at my sleeping brother and cry even harder. I walk over to hunters chair and sit on her lap and hug her as we cry together.

"Hunter bens strong he will make it I know he will he's strong he has to make it." She nods and hugs me back I walk back over to my chair and get out my phone and text lee and carter.

Hey soo um bens in the hospital hed not suppose to make it to see the weekend-A

Oh I'm so sorry he's strong he will make it I know he will-L

I wait and still no text back from carter I sigh and rest my head on my brothers bed and end up falling asleep.

I awake to my phone going off I answer it without checking who it is.

"Hello"

"I got your text I'm sorry about Ben he will make it"

"Thanks carter"

"Your welcome"

"Carter why are you like that at school?"

"Like what?"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about"

"Dammit Anna stop ok why the hell does it bother you it's none of your damn business ok bye" he hangs up I sigh and check the time 7:13 P.m. I look at hunter who's sleeping I leave her a note and head to go get some taco bell.

I pull into taco bell parking lot and head in as I walk in I hear a familiar voice and stop dead in my tracks and look up to find the one person I never wanted to see again.
