Chapter 26: The Next Morning

Katelyn woke up. Normally in this situation she would need Advil, a cup of coffee, and an hour to remember what happened, but not this time. She turned to her side, seeing Travis still asleep. Deciding not to wake him, she slowly gets out of the bed and gets into pajamas. She heads downstairs and goes to the kitchen. Aphmau and Kawaii~Chan were both awake and giggling about something at the table. Katelyn opens the cabinet to find a coffee cup when the two finally talk.
"Good morning Katelyn." Aphmau says.
"Good morning."
"How was your sleep." Aphmau holds back from snickering.
"Aphmau; I know what you're doing. Stop."
She can't find a mug, so she opens the dishwasher. She takes out a mug and begins hand washing it since they had ran out.
""How was your day with Travis?"
"Aphmau, do NOT make me yell."
Kawaii~Chan takes a sip from her water bottle.
Aphmau immediately responds, "that's not what you said to Travis last night."
Kawaii~Chan spits all of her water out, laughing hysterically. Katelyn closes her eyes for a moment, calms down, and pours the coffee before walking into the other room and sitting on the couch. Katelyn takes a sip of her coffee as her two friends settle down. Once they finally catch their breath, Travis makes his way down the stairs. Aphmau and Kawaii~Chan burst out laughing at the sight of Travis, remembering Aphmau's joke. Travis looks to Katelyn, confused. She stands and walks over quickly.
"I'll see you later." She says, giving a look to tell him to just leave and she'll explain later. He combs through his hair with his fingers before responding. "Okay," he places a light kiss on Katelyn's cheek, "See ya." He walks to the door and heads out. The two other girls had finally calmed down and just missed how flustered Katelyn's face was the entire time they were joking around. The door closes and Katelyn immediately turns around to look at the two of them.
"What the actual hell was that?" Katelyn calmly asks Aphmau.
"Well, you can't put an opportunity for a perfect joke in front of me and not expect me to take it." Katelyn clenches her fist, trying to not argue back. She sighs, brushing a small bit of hair off her face.
"Whatever..." She sits down calmly at the table, ending the discussion and potential argument.
Aphmau suddenly got a text, causing her to smile, but manage not to laugh.

Travis: Is Katelyn okay? Something seemed wrong.

Aphmau: She's fine. I just screwed with her a bit.

Travis: OMI Aphmau, has anyone ever taught you not to play with fire? xD

Aphmau: So Katelyn's the fire?

Travis: She's hot enough to be.

Aphmau: xD

Aphmau: Good job Travis, good job.

Travis: *takes bow* thank you; I try.

Aphmau closes her phone, smiling from just how funny everything was that morning.  Conversation quickly started at the table again, causing the situation to calm down completely and no one was angry or upset. Everything was okay and the rest of the day just smoothly went by.

Lol Aphmau you savage. That is all. It's short, but it's funny so I'm proud xD.

P.s. That squid is my hat I mentioned from yesterday. That is what I spent $12 on. But hey! The eyes and the the tentacles flash so it's lit. Good investment 11/3 would recommend.
