A/N: Hey guys, this is PhantomFaller13. Just wanted to say that this is my first fanfic so please no flames, but friendly criticism and reviews are welcome. Anyways without further ado, onto the first chapter. (Also P.S. for those who care, Phantom Planet never happened just to clear that up)

Danny's POV

"C'mon Sam it's just a scratch," I whined as my friend, Sam Manson, bandaged up my right arm which had a rather large cut on it courtesy of Skulker.

Sam looked up from her work to give me one of her famous 'stop whining or I'll give you something to whine about' glares. I slumped in the metal chair I was seated in, the only other sound in my parents lab was the quiet hum of the Ghost Portal and Tucker typing away on his beloved PDA.

"Dude either you're getting sloppy, or Skulker is getting better," my technogeek friend commented.

I snickered, "It's definitely not me, I train every day and fight ghosts almost constantly." Not that I was complaining.

It had been almost a year since the accident that gave me my powers and thanks to all the ghost fighting and training I really got the hang of my ghostly abilities. I could now successfully duplicate myself into as many as 10 without losing control, my ice powers were fully under my control, I no longer went intangible accidentally, and I had gotten some muscle due to the fighting and training.

But as to avoid questions on how wimpy Danny Fenton got some extra muscle I had to wear loose clothes and still act clumsy and let myself be beaten up by guys like Dash Baxter.

"He's finding ways to upgrade his tech," Tucker said interrupting my thoughts, "But how? It's not like there's tech just floating around the Ghost Zone and there haven't been any robberies lately."

I ran my fingers through my messy raven hair, "Probably Plasmius," I grumbled, "Skulker is doing his dirty work and getting paid with new tech."

Sam pulled the last of the bandage tight around my arm and placed a piece of medical tape on it to keep the loose end in place. "I hate that guy. Doesn't he have anything better to do than seek to control the Ghost Zone or make life miserable for you?" my gothic friend said as she packed up all the leftover medical equipment back into her first aid kit.

I laughed and stretched my bandaged arm, "Well being Mayor must be time consuming, but I did hear he got a cat. I should actually be touched he has time in his evil schedule to torment me."

"This isn't a joke Danny," Sam scolded, "Skulker could've killed you."

"It was just a little scratch Sam," I said standing up and flexing my arm. Looks like I'd be wearing long sleeves and sweaters for a bit.

"A little scratch that required four stitches. Look Danny, all I'm saying is that I'm worried. This is becoming more frequent and even though your ghost half gives you advanced healing I've had to become your personal nurse," Sam said as she stood up, genuine concern in her violet eyes.

I glanced at my bandaged arm. Sam was right, I had been chalking up my fair share of injuries. Some were small and healed by the next morning due to my speed healing, but some did require Sam's medical know how.

I plopped back down in the chair, "Maybe I just need to train a bit more. Tuck, you updated the Ghost Zone database right?" I said trying to change the subject. Soon after I started fighting ghosts, the three of us had created the Ghost Zone database, files on all the ghosts that I have fought or allied myself with.

"Of course, but dude I have to go with Sam on this one," Tucker said, putting his PDA in his pocket and walking over so that he stood beside Sam.

I groaned, "Guys seriously, I'm fine," I said as I stood up once again, "We can continue this tomorrow at school." The two of them stood firm but after a minute or two dropped their parental act and turned to go up the stairs. When they reached the base of the stairs they turned to look at me again.

"Aren't you going to head up to bed too?" Sam asked.

"I just need to do a few things in the lab first, then I'll go straight to bed," I replied. My violet eyed friend looked skeptical.

"Sam I promise, I just have to do a couple of things and then I'll pack it in for the night," I said, hoping to sound sincere.

Still looking skeptical, she nodded and walked up the stairs with Tucker close behind. Once the door shut I walked over to the Ghost Portal to close it for the night when I felt a cold sensation in my chest and my breath came out in a blue mist. I jumped away from the portal, quickly focusing on my ghost core and letting the cool white rings wash over my body, turning my raven hair white, my blue eyes ectoplasmic green and a familiar black HAZMAT suit to appear on my body.

My hands were glowing green, ready to fire at the oncoming intruder. To my surprise, the ghost that came out of the portal was none other than Clockwork in his middle aged form.

Letting the energy fade from my hands I walked over to the Master of Time, "Clockwork? What are you doing here?" I questioned.

He didn't respond, instead he looked at the clock on his staff and then the portal. My ghost sense went off again as 3 Observants entered the lab through the portal, quickly taking up spots behind and on either side of me with Clockwork standing almost directly in front of me.

"Clockwork? Mind telling me what this is all about," I said staring up at the old spirit. He gave me one of his rare smiles, "We have very important news for you Danny," he said as he shifted into his toddler form.

I waited, "And that would be?"

"Danny Phantom," the three Observants said suddenly, "As representatives of the Observant Council, we come here to tell you that you are the new King of the Ghost Zone."

I'm glad the walls in the lab were soundproof because if they weren't the entire population of Amity Park would have heard me shout "WHAT!"

A/N: Annnd this concludes the first chapter of The Halfa Prince. Updates will be kind of scattered until I gain a regular schedule but I will try to update at least twice a week at least.
