Two days later at Sam's house

Sam's POV

"Danny please pick up," I whispered as I called my ghostly friend's cell phone for the 5th time, "Is he answering you Tucker?"

I turned to my technogeek friend, "No, not my texts, emails, or messages," Tucker said. I sighed, "I'm starting to get worried. We haven't seen or heard from Danny in two days," I said as I got Danny's voicemail yet again.

"He's probably busy at his castle getting ready for his coronation," Tucker said as he continued to type on his PDA. I raised an eyebrow at him, "For the past two full days? After our conversation the other day he didn't even want to be Prince. No one has seen or heard from him Tuck. Not Jazz, not his parents, not even the Box Ghost," I said my voice laced with worry.

Tucker looked up at me in shock, "Not even ol' Boxy? Somethings up." Tucker scratched his head in thought, "Maybe Fright Knight will know."

I shook my head, "We don't know where he is either and we have no way to contact him." The two of us stood there in silence trying to figure out a way to find our super powered friend.

Tucker snapped his fingers, "The Booo-merang! We can use it to track Danny!" he cried out.

"Great idea!" I replied and together we ran out of my house, hopped on our scooters and starting heading towards Fenton Works.

At Fenton Works

We parked our scooters and ran up to the front door. I knocked and was greeted by Jazz. "Hey guys, what's up?" she asked as Tucker and I entered the house.

"We know how to find Danny!" I cried. Jazz's face instantly lit up, "You do! Oh that's fantastic! Mom and dad have begun to get suspicious, I don't know how much longer I can keep lying to them."

I faced Jazz, "You didn't tell them he's missing?" Jazz shook her head, "At the moment they're away at a Ghost Hunters Convention just outside of town. They think Danny is at home with me with a cold. They'll be back by next week but I'm starting to worry that they suspect something and might come home early."

"Well you don't have to worry anymore," Tucker said. I nodded, "Yeah, we figured we can use the Booo-merang to track down Danny."

Jazz smacked her forehead, "Of course, why didn't I think of that. C'mon it's in the lab."

The three of us headed down to the lab and were welcomed by the soft glow of the Ghost Portal, the thing that started it all. "Over here," Jazz called from a workbench. I tore my eyes away from the portal and headed over to join her and Tucker. In Jazz's hand was the Fenton Booo-merang, or as I like to call it 'The Stupidly Named Tracking Device'.

"Everyone, into the Specter Speeder," Jazz ordered. We all piled into the large vehicle and Jazz leaned out the door. She turned on the tracking device and said, "Find Danny." Jazz threw the device only for it to fall to the floor.

We all stared at it. Jazz got out of the Speeder to pick it up. She turned it over to make sure it was working. "Find Danny," she said again as she threw the device, only to get the same results. Tears stung my eyes and Jazz continued to throw the Booo-merang with no success.

Tucker jumped out of the Speeder and grabbed the tracking device from Jazz's hands as tears flowed down her cheeks. "It's broken. It... it has to be. Danny's not gone, he's not," Jazz whispered. Tucker lowered his head, still clutching the Booo-merang. I blinked away tears, Danny couldn't be dead.
