Hey weirdos I'm back! Did ya miss me (probably not lol). Anyways, just wanted to let you know the updates should be going back to their regular schedule (Mon, Fri and sometimes Wed) but I suck at keeping schedules so probably not.
Danny's POV
I woke up the next morning with lingering memories of what had happened just a few hours ago. Talking with Jazz, Vizier and his threats.
"Danny, hurry up so you can eat breakfast and get to school on time," my mom called up the stairs. "One minute," I shouted back.
I climbed out of bed and quickly got dressed in my normal clothes. I headed down the stairs and sat down at the table where my dad was once again tinkering with a new ghost catching device.
Mom set a plate of pancakes in front of me and kissed my cheek, "I can't believe my little boy is going to be 15 tomorrow," she said happily.
I cringed, my birthday was tomorrow. And I still wasn't ready for any of this. Jazz soon appeared in the kitchen and sat beside me. She patted my knee reassuringly under the table and I smiled at her.
I dug into my pancakes as my dad went on about his new invention to me. "I call it, the Fenton Netter!" he said proudly. The device was a small green and silver cube with a big red light on the top. "It senses when a ghost passes by it and shoots out a ghost proof net!"
"That's great dad but I got to get to school now," I said as I stood up and placed my dishes in the sink, being careful to avoid reaching the Fenton Netter's range. "I'll drive you," Jazz said as she stood up too.
"Have a great day kids! Oh and Danny? Don't forget to invite your friends over for your birthday tomorrow!" mom called. "Sure thing," I replied but in truth I was going to try and avoid them all day again.
As Jazz and I climbed into her car, Jazz gave me a look. "What?" I asked as I put on my seat belt. "You are going to talk to them today right?" she questioned.
I sighed, "I don't know Jazz. I just don't think they can handle the truth. They've been acting really weird lately just because I won't tell them 'what's wrong with me'," I told her.
Jazz shook her head as she started the engine and drove towards Casper High, "I know this is a big change Danny but they're your friends. You told me and I only knew because of the Spectra incident and then you only told me after to the whole 'other you' fiasco. They've been with you on this ghost thing since day one. They have gotten in trouble, risked their lives, and not to mention they've kept your secret." Jazz pulled into the parking lot of Casper High Jazz, "They deserve to know Danny."
I sighed as I climbed out of the car, slinging my bag over my shoulder. My pocket buzzed and I pulled out the phone that Fright Knight had given me. On the screen was a text message from Sam
Danny, Tucker and I are getting tired of chasing you around. So we'll stop. If you want to talk to us you know where to find us -Sam
After sending a quick message to Fright Knight about where I was since he still hadn't checked in from going to the castle, I walked towards the school.
Lunchtime
I hadn't seen any sight of Sam or Tucker all day. They weren't even in the cafeteria. I knew of one way that would guarantee I would find them but I always hated doing it. I slipped out of the cafeteria and jumped into an open locker.
I felt the two white rings wash over me as I transformed into my ghost self and phased out of the locker and through the roof. Once I was above the school I lost my intangibility and dove towards the roof above the cafeteria. I turned intangible just as I neared the roof and dropped the intangibility as I crashed onto one of the tables in the cafeteria, getting food all over me.
"It's Danny Phantom!" I heard Paulina cry. Everyone rushed to swarm around me whispering and shrieking about my sudden appearance.
"Uh, gotta fly," I said as I quickly flew up through the roof again. That should catch their attention. Word would spread through the school quick about Danny Phantom's surprise appearance in the caf. I just had to wait and they would come to me.
20 minutes later
I was spending the rest of lunch in the library reading whatever interested me. Just as I thought Sam and Tucker burst through the doors of the library and quickly spotted me. They stomped over to the table I was seated at. I put down the book I was currently reading as they approached me.
"What's this about Danny Phantom crashing in the caf? Did you have a fight?" Sam questioned angrily as she sat down.
"No, no fight. Just needed a way to find you guys," I joked. Apparently they didn't find it funny.
"Why would you want to find us? You avoided us all yesterday and you've haven't returned any of our messages," Tucker accused.
I hung my head, "I know I've been a bit of a jerk lately," my friends scoffed at that, "But I just have had a lot going on and I didn't know if I should tell you guys or not."
My friends lost some of the anger in their faces, "C'mon man, we told you. We're always here for you," Tucker said.
"Yeah, no matter what we're a team. And a team has each others backs," Sam added as she patted my hand.
I breathed in deeply and let it out quickly, "Ok, so to start things off, the reason I have been getting better at my ghost abilities is because for a while now I have been training with Clockwork."
My friends were shocked, "The old ghost dude who tried to kill you?!" Tucker cried.
"It was supposed to be like that! It was part of the timeline! Clockwork was never really going to hurt me he just wanted to test me," I quickly explained.
Tucker calmed down but still looked pretty mad as did Sam, "Anything else?" she asked. "Actually yeah. Just over a week ago, a new Ghost King was declared. But he's currently Prince until he comes of age. His coronation is in 6 days."
My friends gasped, "What!? Do you know who he is?" Sam asked.
I nodded. "Tell us!" Tucker said. I opened the book I had been reading and picked up where I left off.
"Danny, you can't leave us on a cliffhanger like that, who is this guy?" Sam said. I sighed, "Not here," I told them and headed towards the library exit.
Sam and Tucker followed me out. "Where are we going?" Tucker asked.
"I'm going to introduce you to the Prince of the Ghost Zone," I said without looking at them. I could sense their excitement and curiosity. We went to the back of the school where the dumpsters were.
"So where is he?" Sam asked excitedly. I reached into my core and pulled forth my Ghost Prince form causing my friend's jaws to drop.
"He's right here."
