My Best Friend's Boyfriend

Nine.

I woke up and got out of bed. I walked to my bathroom and got in the shower. I washed up and washed my hair. I got out and wrapped the towel around me.  I walked back to my room and put on a red bra and matching panties. I put on a white crop top and a red overall skirt. I slipped on red converse and straightened my hair. I grabbed my things and walked downstairs.

"Morning mom, morning Devin." I said. "Morning." They said. I sat down and started eating. "When's prom?" My mom asked. "Three weeks." I said. "When's the final playoff game?" She asked. "Next Friday." Devin said. I finished eating and put my plate in the sink. "Bye mom." I said then hugged her. She kissed my cheek then I left.

I got in my car and drove off. I turned on the radio and started singing along to me too by Meghan trainor. I pulled up at school and got out. I don't want to be here. I hope there isn't drama. I walked inside and headed to my locker. I walked down the hall and saw Vincent and Alex talking. I sighed and opened my locker. "Hey Gabby." Logan said. "Hi Logan." I said grabbing my books. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Peachy." I said closing my locker.

I started walking to my first class. I got there and sat in the back. Students started to walk in and I saw Vincent. We made eye contact but I looked away. "Hey Gabby." He said sitting next. "Hey." I said. "Are you okay?" He asked. "I'm fine!" I said. "Okay good." He said. He grabbed my hand and I looked at him. "I broke up with her." He said. "What! Why?" I asked. "I want to be with you." He said. "But she's my bes-" I was cut off by him smashing his lips onto mine.

I kissed back and his grip on my hand got tighter. We pulled away and he smiled at me. "Gabby will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. "Hmm I don't know." I said. "How about I ask you after our get together on Friday." He said. "Yeah." I said. "Gabrielle and Vincent stop talking." The teacher said. I turned to the front and the teacher started the lesson.

The bell rung and I grabbed my things. I started to walk out when someone grabbed my hand. I looked up and saw Vincent. I smiled and we continued walking. A lot of girls gave me stank looks but I didn't care. I got to the locker room and walked to the back. I changed into my gym clothes and put my hair in a ponytail. Alex probably cut class again.

I walked out and started jogging. "Hey Gabby." Arianna said. "Hey, where's Chloe?" I asked. "Her and Alex decided to skip the rest of the day." She said. "Why didn't you go?" I asked. "My parents would kill me." She said. "So I heard you and my brother were holding hands in the hallway." She said. "Oh um yeah we were." I said. "Oh." She said. Oh, just a oh! Thank all the roaches in the world that she isn't fighting me. 

"Hey sis." Vincent said wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "Hi Vinny." She said. "Hey Gabby." He said. "Hey." I said. "So is Gabby your next target?" Arianna asked. "No! I actually like Gabby." He said. I smiled and so did Arianna. "Don't break her heart she's amazing." She said. "I won't, I promise." He said. Logan walked up and pulled Arianna away. "You have really nice legs." He said. "Wow, thanks you have a nice face." I said. "I know right." He said. I rolled my eyes and he looked down at me. "Its so sad that your so short." He said. "Shut up." I said.

"Okay boys outside and girls inside." The teacher said. "Gimme a kiss." He said. "Nope." I said walking away. He grabbed my waist and kissed my cheek. I smiled and he ran off. I walked over to ribbons and grabbed one. I started twirling it and dancing to the music. "Get it girl!" Arianna yelled and I laughed. I put the ribbon down and sat down. Without Alex I really don't have anyone to talk to. It's weird because if I do date Vincent I'll lose her but if I don't I'll lose him to her. I'm in a sticky situation.

The teacher walked in and told us to get changed. I stood up and walked into the locker room. I changed and took my hair out of the ponytail. I grabbed my things and walked out. I walked up behind Vincent and wrapped my arms around his abdomen. He turned around and hugged me. He kissed my cheek and I smiled. "Alex is gonna flip." Logan said. "She sure is." Arianna said. "I don't care." Vincent said. I shrugged and put my head on his stomach.

The bell rang and I pulled away. I walked out and Vincent grabbed my hand. "Can you sit with me at lunch?" He asked. "But I always sit with Devin." I said. "Then we'll sit with you guys." He said. "No Devin is embrassing, I'll sit with you tomorrow." I said. "Okay." He said. We walked inside the cafeteria and got our food. I walked to the table and sat down.

"Hey guys." I said. "Hey sis." Devin said. "Hey Gabby." Blake said. "Gabby leaked while we were in the pool last summer." Devin blurted out. "And you had to wear pull up until third grade." I said and Blake laughed. "Touche." He said. I smiled and started eating. "So Gabby everyone is talking about you and Vincent holding hands." Devin said. "We were just holding hands while walking to class." I said. "Mmhmm." He replied.

I finished eating and threw my trash away. "I'll see you guys later." I said. "Okay but we have practice today." Blake said. "Oh okay." I said. I grabbed my bag and walked out. I was walking to class when a group of girls stopped me. "Look Gabrielle, I've been waiting all year for Vincent to become single and now that he is you will not ruin it by dating him." A girl with dirty brown hair said. "Look I don't want any problems with you, I don't even know you so leave me alone and get a life." I said then walked away. "I'll get him even if that means taking you out of the picture!" She yelled. "You know threatening someone can get you jail time." I yelled.

I got to English and sat at my seat. I pulled out my notebook and the bell rang. Students started to fill in and Arianna sat beside me. The teacher walked in and everyone went silent. "Pull out your books and let's start reading." She said. We pulled out our books and started class.

The final bell rang and I grabbed my things. I walked out of the classroom to find Vincent standing there. "Awe you waited for me?" I asked. "Yeah." He said and I smiled. "Don't you have practice?" I asked. "Yeah but its outside." He said. "Oh." I said. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we walked out. Once we got to my car I leaned against it. "I'll call you when I get home." He said. "Okay." I said. He cupped my face and kissed me. I kissed back and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Okay that's enough." Logan said. We pulled away and Vincent hugged me. "See ya." I said. "See ya cutie." He said then walked away.

I got in my car and started it up. I turned the radio on and drove off. I turned onto my street and saw Alex's car. Oh sugar. I pulled into my driveway and got out. I walked inside and saw Alex. "Gabby we need to talk."
