My Best Friend's Boyfriend

Eighteen

I woke up and just laid there. I'm still upset from last night. I climbed out of bed and walked downstairs. "Good morning." My mom said. "Morning." I said. I sat down and started eating. "Gabby there's something I wanna give you." She said.

"Oo what is it?" I asked. She handed me a box and I opened it. I pulled out a light pink dress with black lace on it. "This us beautiful." I said. "It was my prom dress when I was your age." She said. "I love it." I said. "You can wear it to prom if you want." She said. "I will." I said excitingly. 

I put the dress back in the box and continued to eat. Someone knocked on the door and I stood up. I opened it and saw Louis. "Hey Louis!" I said. "Sup girl." He said. "Come in." I said. He walked in and greeted my mom. She smiled and waved. I grabbed my box and we went to my room. I closed the door and sat on my bed.

"How was the party?" He asked. "Absolutely horrible." I said. "What happened." He asked. "It was boring without you and I walked in on Alex and Vincent making out." I said. "What the frook!" He yelled. "Yeah they were into it to." I said. A tear fell but I quickly wiped it.

"Don't cry." He said. He sat beside me ad hugged me. "I can't believe they'd do something like that to me." I sighed. "Let me take you out for ice cream." He said. "Really?" I asked. "Yes now get ready." He said. I hopped up  and went to my bathroom. I got in the shower and washed up.

I washed my hair and got out. I wrapped the towel around me. I walked back in my room and Louis walked out. I put on a white bra and matching panties. I threw on a black spaghetti strap top and jean shorts.

I threw a flannel on and slipped on my vans. I put my hair in a French braid and grabbed my phone. I opened my door and walked out. "Let's go." I said. We walked out and got in his car. He started the car and drove off.

"This is my song." I said turning up the radio. Heathens was playing. Louis laughed as I danced and sang along. We pulled up at the Ice cream shop and got out. We walked in and went to the counter. "Can I get two surprise me sundaes?" Louis asked. The girl smiled and nodded.

"That'll be 20.05" She said. He paid and we went to sit down. "What are you gonna do when prom comes around?" He asked. "I don't even know." I said. The girl walked over and gave us our ice cream. We immediately started eating. Honestly I feel a little better eating this.

After we finished we left. "Thanks Louis." I said. "No problem." He said. We spent the rest of our time there joking around and throwing ice cream at each other.

Once we finished we walked out. We got back in his car and decided to go see a movie. We pulled up at the cinema and got out. We walked up to the ticket lady and got two tickets for finding dory. We walked in and brought popcorn, candy, and drinks. We got to the projection area and took our seats.

There were so many little kids. A group of little girls sat beside me and looked at me. "You're really pretty." A girl with bright red hair and deep green eyes said. "Thank you so are you." I said and she smiled.

"Is that your boyfriend?" The blonde one asked. "No he's my friend." I said. "Oh he's cute." She said and I chuckled. The movie started and we turned to the screen. I grabbed the popcorn bucket and started eating it.

After the movie Louis and I left the theater. We hopped in his car and he started it up. "You wanna go home?" He asked. I nodded and he drove off. "Hey I just met you." I sang. "And this is crazy." Louis sang. "So here's my number so call me maybe!" We sang together. We laughed and continued singing.

We pulled up at my house and got out. We walked to my porch and stopped. "Thanks, I had a good time." I said. "I'll do anything to cheer you up." He said and I smiled. He pulled me into a hug and I wrapped my arms around him. We pulled away. "Gabby there's something I wanna tell yo-" He was cut off by Blake walking out of my house. "Its time for dinner." He said and I nodded.

"Well I gotta go but I'll see you Monday." I said. He nodded and walked to his car. I watched him drive away then I walked in. I sat at the dining room table and started eating meat loaf. "I have news." Devin said. "What is it?" My mom asked. "I'm taking Chloe to prom." He smiled. "That's great, who are you taking Blake?" She asked. "This girl named Anastasia." He said.

"Finally you two boob heads got dates." I chuckled. "Shut up Gabby." My mom laughed. "Are you going with Vincent?" Devin asked. "No I'm not, I'm going alone." I said and he nodded. "Mom how are things going with you and your friend?" I asked. "Great, we have a date on Friday." She said.

It's good that my mom is stepping out into the dating world. I mean she deserves someone that'll treat her well. After dinner my mom gave us cake for dessert. "Wow mom dessert you must be really happy." Devin said. "Just decided to make it." She said. I got a piece and started eating. She made lemon cake. Yummy.

After dessert I washed the dishes and walked upstairs. I changed into my pajamas and climbed in bed. Can't wait tell Monday. *note the sarcasm*
