Chapter 2: A Cold Night And An Awkward Morning

"Fuu! Jin!"
You yell into the forest to see if you can find your new friends. Still no answer. You've been walking around the forest for about 20 minutes and you would've run into at least one of them. You sigh and continue to walk further. "Stupid Mugen and his stupid comments," you mutter angrily to yourself as you walk. "I could be sitting at the campfire right now if he hadn't of..." You stop mid sentence and look around. Wait a minute... Where's the campfire? Everywhere you turn you see nothing but darkness. You were so mad that you didn't pay attention to where you were going. Now you were lost and had no clue how to find your way back.
"Oh no," you sigh and lean against a tree, "this is all Mugens fault."
"Don't blame me, you were the one who decided to walk all the way out here."
The sound of Mugens voice makes you jump. "Did you follow me?" You say while looking around to see what direction the voice was coming from.
"Yeah, I thought you we're gonna find those 2 but you ended up getting us lost," he said with a hint of annoyance.
"I didn't tell you to follow me!" You say angrily, "I left to get away from you! And what do you mean I got us lost? You don't know how to get back?"
"Nope," he says and sits down by a tree opposite from you. "Well why not?" You ask walking over to him.
"Cuz I was focusing on following you," he says looking up at you. You look down at him angrily.
"This is all your fault, we could be sitting down at the campfire with Fuu and Jin right now." You sit down next to him.
"It wasn't me who got mad and left," he says lazily looking at you. "If you weren't such a jerk I wouldn't of left!" You scold him but he just laughs. "Well, there's nothing we can do about it now." Then he lays down with his head by you and tries to fall asleep.
"Your really going go sleep out here?" You ask him worried. You weren't a big fan of sleeping outside and honestly, this forest really creeped you out. "Yeah, why not?" He opens one eye and looks up at you but you just sigh. "Fine I don't care what you do," you reply but you look down and see that Mugen is already asleep. "This is going to be a long night," You say to yourself as you try to get comfortable.

Falling asleep was way harder than you thought. It has gotten even cooler and your clothes were thin so you were shivering. You also kept hearing animal noises which worried you since you couldn't fight and Mugen was asleep. Also, Mugen had been moving around and his head ended up on your lap, so even if you wanted to run from any animal, you couldn't.
"Ugh, why did I leave the campsite," you say to yourself in frustration.
All of a sudden you heard rustling in the bushes. It wasn't like before where you heard chipmunks or birds. No. This sound a lot bigger. Panicking you begin to shake Mugen. "Mugen! Wake up! I think someone's coming!" He looks up at you then sits up groggily.
"Wha..." He says half asleep. "Someone's coming!" Hearing you panick he jumps up and draws his sword.
"Whoever's there, show yourself!" He says looking in each direction. You stand up too and get behind him just in case. After Mugen spoke, a wild boar leaps out of the bushes and sprints right past both of you.
You didn't know what to say. You felt stupid for getting so scared and bad for waking Mugen up. He turns around and glares at you.
"Thanks a lot genius," he says sarcastically, "do you get a kick out of waking people up for nothing?" I blushed and sat back down hugging my knees. "Sorry..." I mumbled.
Mugen puts his sword back and looks down at me. "What's wrong with you? He says making me look up at him.
"Nothing... I'm just not used to sleeping outside. Is freezing or here.
Then he sighs and starts to take off his shirt, which made me freak out.
"Wait! W-what are you doing?!" I say covering my eyes. Then I felt something wrap around me and Mugen pulled my hands away from my face. He was just in his gray T-shirt and I noticed that his red shirt was wrapped around me.
"But aren't you going to be cold?" I asked. I didn't want him to freeze just because of me. He put his head back on my lap and closed his eyes.
"No, us 3 are used to sleeping outside," he tells you. You sigh and look down at him annoyed.
"And what makes you think you can sleep right here?"
He looks up at you and smirks. "Are you going to stop me?" He says teasing me. I'm not strong enough to move him and he knows that. You glare at him and lean back onto the tree, finally falling asleep.

"(Y/n)? Are you up?" You hear a voice calling you and slowly open your eyes to see Fuu staring down at you. Jin was behind her and they were both giving you a weird look. 'Why are they making those faces' you think but then you remember and look down to see Mugen still sleeping on your lap and you gasp.
"Mugen," you say in horror, which causes him to wake up and sit up. He notices Fuu and Jin also.
"Oh, so you guys finally found us," he says standing up, "its about time."
Fuu helps you stand up but your still embarrassed. 'I can't believe they saw us like that,' you think as you look down to hide the fact that your blushing.
"Are you alright?" Fuu asks putting her hand on your shoulder. Before you answer Mugen speaks.
"Yeah, why wouldn't she be" he says then walks over to you, "are you done with my shirt?"
When you realize your still wearing his shirt you blush even more. "Oh, um, yeah," you quickly take it off and hand it to him. You don't understand how he was so calm about the situation while you were about to die of embarrassment. He begins to walk towards the town.
"Alright let's hurry up and get town, were wasting time." With that Jin begins to follow him and me and Fuu behind him. Fuu kept looking over at you but you kept your eyes to the ground until you reached the village.
