I had woken up early today since I went to bed pretty early. I decided to go for a morning jog to get some energy. I splashed some cold water on my face and brushed my teeth. Once I finished I put on a maroon hoodie and black legging along with a black hijab. I slipped on my black nike sneakers and grabbed my earphones. Plugging those into my phone, I went downstairs. I quickly grabbed a water bottle and played my workout playlist. I walked until I got the park and then I began running. The music made me pumped and run faster.
'What a feeling to be right here beside you now
Holding you in my arms
When the air ran out and we both started running wild
The sky fell down
But you got stars, they're in your eyes
And I've got something missing tonight
What a feeling to be a king beside you, somehow
I wish I could be there now.'
After about half an hour of jogging, I slowed down a bit and started walking. I took a big drink out of my water and my music stopped. What the. I looked at my phone and I was getting a call.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Haneen. Come over today." Yahya said.
"No. I'm started to get sick of you." I joked.
"Fine then."
"It be like that sometimes." I laughed.
"No but seriously I wanna do something and what better person to do it with than you?" He told me.
"What do you have in mind, kid?"
"You'll see when you get here."
"Okay, I'll meet you in an hour. Bye." I hung up and walked home. I swear, I don't know how he hasn't gotten sick of me yet. We spend almost everyday together. It was about nine thirty when I got home and I immediately took a shower. I washed my body and rinsed it off and got out the shower. Grabbing a towel, I put one around my body and headed to my closet. I picked out a black long sleeve shirt and a red flannel. I changed into a light pair of jeans and tied the flannel around my waist. I put on a black hijab and grabbed my white converse. Grabbing my phone, I headed downstairs to my car. I drove up to his house and knocked on the door. A few seconds later he opened the door. He wore a white shirt along with his adidas sweats.
"You're here." He pulled my into his arms. He wore his signature smell of cologne and smoke.
"Yeah." I laughed.
"Do you wanna grab something to eat real fast before we leave?"
"What do you got?"
"I actually made some pancakes for me, there's still some left."
"Oo my favorite." I went over and put a few in a dish and drizzled some syrup on them.
"When you finish meet me in the car." He headed outside to his car. I finished eating my pancakes and washed the dish real fast. I went outside to the car and he turned on some music.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Somewhere you would least expect." He told me.
"Wow because that tells me where we're going." I stated sarcastically.
"Shush, you'll see in a bit." He took my hand in his. We continued driving around for about twenty minutes before reaching the destination. I looked around and immediately knew what this place was.
"Skydiving?!" I told him.
"Yeah. I've always wanted to go so, here we are." He began walking inside.
"You're insane!" I laughed.
"Hello, first time here?" A man greeted us.
"Yep." Yahya told him.
"Well, follow me. I'll teach you what you need to know." We followed him into a room where he taught us the safety of skydiving.
"Okay. You guys ready?" He asked us.
"Yeah, I think so." I said and Yahya nodded.
"Let's go." He said. "Put these on." He gave us the clothes we needed and handed us helmets. Once we changed, we were strapped with the parachute equipment.
"Ready babe?" Yahya asked.
"Hell yeah!"
We got on the plane and it began driving until it reached the certain speed to fly. Once we were at the height we needed to be, the guy went over the instructions one more time and told us to go by the exit. My heart was beating like a million beats per second. I was so nervous but the adrenaline was rushing through my blood streams, so I was pretty pumped.
"On my count jump. One... Two... Three!"
We jumped out of the plane and I held onto Yahya so fast. I screamed my lungs out for the first minute and Yahya was screaming in excitement.
"Turn around!" He yelled.
I turned around and he grabbed my hands so we were flying in the air while facing eachother. The view was absolutely amazing.
"Pull the string!" He told me. We both pulled the parachute and we flew in the air. By this point we were holding hands and we were almost on the ground. Once we landed I fell on the floor.
"That was freaking amazing! Oh my god."
Yahya ran to me and picked me up.
"Oh my god." He spun me around.
"That was so fun."
"I love you so much. Yahya, you mean everything to me." I said catching my breath from screaming so much.
"I love you." He picked me up and kissed me until I could swear that time had froze. This has to be some kid of dream. No way everything had stopped moving. I pulled away.
"This has to be a dream." I whispered.
"What?"
"Nothing. Uh let's go?"
"Yeah." He grabbed my hand and we walked back inside to change.
I changed back into my clothes and we walked to his car. He got in the front seat after opening the door for me. He sat down and put his seat belt on. I looked at him and admired him. This is all too good to be true. Something is going to go wrong, I know it. I started to tear up with all the thoughts in my head.
"Haneen, I was thinking maybe we could head to.. What's wrong? Why are you crying?" He looked at me frantically.
"This is all some dream, isn't it. Something is gunna happen to us, I can feel it. I'm so happy with you, I am. But I'm so afraid to be happy because every time I start to feel happy, something goes wrong. I can never be happy, it doesn't last. And when I'm with you, I feel like time freezes and I never want to leave.."
"Haneen, don't think like that." He cut me off.
"I can't. I can never be happy. I'm so afraid I'm gunna lose you again."
"You won't lose me. Don't ever think that. I'm not going anywhere." He kissed my forehead then looked into my eyes. "I love you, I'm never letting you go."
"I love you too. More than you know."
I was feeling a bit better, but in the back of my mind was still those thoughts.
"Let's go to a nice restaurant. Get some food and get your mind off things." He told me as he drove.
"Sounds nice."

We ate our food and talked until our food was gone.
"Do you want any dessert or will that be all?" The waiter asked us.
I shook my head.
"No thanks, just the check please." Yahya told him. The waiter nodded and handed him the check. We payed for our meal and headed back to his car.
"That's a first."
"What?" I asked.
"You never pass up dessert. What's wrong."
"No, nothing." I smiled. "Just really full."
"You sure?" He looked at me.
"Yes." I laughed. "Let's go home."

We pulled in my driveway and he stopped the car.
"I had fun today, I did."
"Me too. Until next time, bye." He kissed me cheek.
"Bye." I opened the car door and left.
